Penn goes on epic weed rant......

Four tons of marijuana in large bales were found bobbing off the Southern California coast, and authorities are still trying to determine where it came from.

Harbor patrol agents began receiving tips about "suspicious bales" 13 miles offshore near Dana Point, in Orange County around noon on May 20, according to a report from CBS Los Angeles.

The Coast Guard, Orange County Sheriff's Department and U.S. Border Patrol hauled in some 160 bales or 7,623 pounds of marijuana. Border Patrol agents said the bales had a street value of $3.6 million.

So far, there have been no arrests, and there were no suspect vessels sighted near the area where the dumping occurred.

Border Patrol spokesman Michael Jimenez called the incident unusual in the Orange County Register. Typically, bales are found in the water because suspects and boats fleeing from authorities are in a hurry to get rid of them.

Which bastards called the authorities? I'd have been out renting a truck.

Weed isn't for me, personally. It makes my throat dry. However, if it's your thing, knock yourself out. My wife loves the stuff.

OMG...You posted a real post that provided relevant information. I just about fell out of my fucking chair!

LOL I love Penn....he's just a crazy ass libertarian. Throw the prez in jail under his own policy, that's just nuts!! We can't really expect politicians to live under their own rule, they are above the law.

Never been a weed guy. It is just is not my type of high. I think some people can function on it and some can not. I fall in the later category. My buddy hits his pipe of aim every third hole on the golf course and it seems to help his game. I would not even be able to hit the ball. Basically I laugh for 20 minutes, get hungry then pass out. Not my idea of fun......

But if 1/6 are in jail for it that is just insane! Who cares if someone gets high.

My fried from SF gave me a bunch of edibles from one of the "stores" out there. It is a better high, but still not my thing.

Penn and Teller are awesome.

Damn, I am agreeing with Penn!
Its been so long I forgot my nickname for him ;)

That was actually a fairly good, well reasoned logical rant about the US social class system.

You have to appreciate a figure who's a (purported) lifelong drug-free teetotaler and still makes an issue of this! :)
