What happened to all of the doom and gloom economic threads?

Hey dumbass why did you edit out the part of that thread where I clarified that the president doesn't have to submit a budget for MOST government spending, due to the fact that he doesn't have to submit a budget for congressional mandatory spending programs?

Because taking me in context shows I was right, doesn't it? :)

That's why I provided all who might care with the link to your asinine post in its entirety.

Keep turning, tool...

Good.

How about the part in that thread where you wrongly claimed that the pres had to provide a budget for Medicare and I proved you wrong with a link? And you then shrunk away?

Why not link those bits too while you're at it?

It's real simple to actually back-up such statements...

...that is, if they're true. A link serves justice in that regard quite well.

Here, let me show you how it literally works:

...the president doesn't have to submit a budget and historically it's not done.

Now, you try it...

...link to where I literally "claimed that the pres had to provide a budget for Medicare".

I'll wait:rolleyes:

Fix your link.

Looks like the president is mandated by the Congressional Budget Act of 1974. That link shows the process, which starts with the president submitting a budget by the first Monday in February. Even if the Pres and his party have no plans to pass the budget or even bring it to a vote it still has to be submitted.

Just busting your chops because you said it was mandated by the Constitution - it's not. It was required in the first instance by the Budget Control Act (or words to that effect) of 1921. Every few years Congress updates what's required (by statute, not the Constitution).

As it stands, the budget isn't really that important. It provides a blueprint for spending and priorities, but the budget doesn't actually appropriate any funds.

Romney Registers Personal Best 50% Favorable Rating
Up from 39% in February, but one of lowest for a presumptive nominee
by Jeffrey M. Jones
PRINCETON, NJ -- Fifty percent of Americans now have a favorable opinion of presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney, up from 39% in February and his highest by 10 percentage points. His current 41% unfavorable rating, though, leaves him with a net score of +9, after being at -8 in February. In roughly half of the 28 measurements Gallup has taken of Romney since 2006, more Americans have viewed him negatively than positively.

All of these Lefty dudes are shaking in their boots............this is just, fantastic!

I'm voting for Romney just to piss off these Lefty dopes....

Their timbers are shivering at the mere specter of having to get a job.

Obama class warfare has really penetrated the brains of the American left, just read all those comments from articles on the Washington Post, any story about Romney. Complete brainwashing

If it's class warfare when it 1vs99 it's well past time we did this thing. It's not like this exact same conflict has ever ended well. Lets at least do it while there are still guys like you who think the rulers should rule so the fight last long enough to think the herd a bit.

Did what thing? Kill the American dream?

Beco wasn't referring to a shooting war. He was referring to the political war engaged in by the President on the majority of Americans, those in the private sector.

Oh so he's brain dead. I thought it was some variant on the "eat the rich" bullshit I see tossed around so much. Obama hasn't done nearly enough on that front.

Crappy week in stocks. Wasn't one of the posters around her, real dick head saying he was waiting for the markets to correct to around 12,400 a week or so ago? I might be losing my mind, he' a real dick and he's always challenging people to make predictions before they happen, not claim they knew what would happen after it already happened. Meh. Probably not. Besides there's always next week, it could continue to plummet and that would make that smug bastard as wrong as everybody else.
