Yeah, but it was only blind luck that some of you guys avoided and then figured out how to prevent scurvy during those long oceanic voyages to conquer other people's civilizations.

Scurvy didn't just hit sailors and a cure was known all over the world in various forms but was never universally known until late 19th or early 20th century. It has an interesting history because even though one group may have known of a cure, another group at the same time and in the same part of the world wouldn't simply because the methods of taking the vitamin C varied.

Just think...all you needed to avoid death on a transatlantic voyage was to just not want your water to taste so rank by simply squeezing lemons in the barrels where they stagnated. Science and progress is funny that way.

Don't know if this is directed at my comment, but I could stand to clarify. I'm assuming all these clips are taken around the same time since she just came into focus. Her skin in the indoor shots looks dramatically different than the later outdoor shots...too much for the lighting and a few days to explain it...it's weird.
