Amen to that. Seduction is elegant when done correctly, it is not at all forceful.
Oh, curious Veroe, you seeing the Avengers at midnight tonight?

mmmmm, Angel. Reminds me of someone![]()

Cool, I'm actually annoyed I didn't find a nearby theater that did the whole day of Marvel thing, because I'd spend the day watching those movies again. I'll be seeing it at 12:30 tonight and have heard nothing but awesome things so far.

She's a bit of a handful, do you think you can master her?
I understand the critical view of Phantom Menace, but I'll be darned if I don't enjoy that movie every time I watch it. Plenty of issues, like the kid as Anakin and flatter than normal writing for Lucas, but I can't seem to help but enjoy myself when I watch it.
I don't think there's any debate that Empire Strikes Back is the best of all six, but in terms of me just enjoying them, for all its flaws, Phantom Menace is probably number one or two depending on the day.
Really? For me its ESB for the original trilogy, and RotS for the prequels. For TPM I think it couldn't live up to the expectations placed on it by us...I don't think any film ever could under that weight really.
Of the second trilogy I think Revenge of the Sith is easily the best in terms of critical analysis. The acting is good, the writing doesn't suck as much as the others, and it finally got some of the intangible feel to it that the original trilogy had.
I think the thing with me for Phantom Menace was I wasn't a huge Star Wars fan, and to a degree I'm still not. With Phantom Menace I was able to just enjoy it without being overly critical. Watching the others, even the ones I enjoy, I can't seem to turn off the critical part of me. I can still enjoy them, but there's just a little part of my brain that doesn't quite shut off the way it does for other movies. I get the same thing with Raiders of the Lost Ark. Though I think I enjoy Last Crusade more, I can just sit back and watch Raiders.
