Stupid question, maybe:

If one line of my newly published story is missing, should I hit an e-mail to the Lit or should I just re-submit with a '-EDITED' and a note in the special instructions?

I only make a big deal of it because it was the first line of the story, but also served as a chapter title, which is different from the actual title (a single sentence with a double space to the technically second paragraph).

It wasn't italic as the author's note, and I wouldn't have typed it if I did not think it was necessary

Which fix would be best?

Also, why do you think this line of story was edited out ahead of time?

I think all you can do is resubmit an edited version. Which unfortunately will take the 3-5day time frame to post.

That sucks because that is the majority of the time your story will be viewed.

The only thing I can think of is a pm to Laurel with the missing line and explain the situation to her, maybe she can insert it somehow.

In the meantime maybe post the missing line on your homepage with a note to the readers? Might help.

But, jeez that does suck, did you leave it out when you copy pasted?

I think this is a good example for a PM to Laurel. It may be a glitch in the process she would want to know happened.

I agree with SR. This sounds odd, and may represent something that needs looking into.

I submit in MS WORD 2003 .doc

I use a lot of italics and it makes them easier to find and count, but it's still just text. I don't mind the wait, the problem is I submitted ch2 the same way already, so I might have a problem or this has never happened before, and I have done this before, which is why I asked.

I just thought it was odd. There is an 'x' in the story on the site where the title is in my .doc on my HD

I dunno if I have enough fans to desire a writer's page or anything. I just write boobie stories.

Just msg her acct via the forum, and see what happens?

Yep, just send a PM with the details of what happened. It could be something that needs to be tweaked in the code, or it could just be a tired-eyes click that went awry.

No way of knowing unless it's brought to her attention.

Hi there,

We generally don't put the title in the text of the story because it's the title is already at the top of the page. We do put the chapter title (if there is one) so long as it's not already included in the title. In the edit, I did add the chapter title... It's showing on my end. If it's still not showing for you, let me know! :rose:

So that's why there was a problem. In the future, if I intend to do this, or require the title to be restated, I plan to put it in the special instructions note to Literotica. Might help for others?
