HA! Nailed him!
Peter J. WallisonIt's always painful to take on the myths and ideological narratives of the left. The pundits of the liberal (excuse me, "progressive") media make a pretense of listening to reason, but when their views are challenged, they become abusive. You are not honestly trying to find the truth; you are making up data, actually lying. If you are skeptical about anthropogenic global climate change, you're not just a skeptic—you're a denier (as in Holocaust denier). And if you disagree with the standard left-wing narrative about the financial crisis, even if you can support your position with data, you are using the "Big Lie" technique (again, repulsively invoking the likes of Goebbels). This attitude and way of dealing with disagreement should have no place in our political system, but seems to have become the stock in trade of the most respected spokesmen of the left.
actually, THIS was damned funny
I shoulda thought to have said that![]()
So just to cut through the smoke here for a minute - As far as I can tell no laws were broken. The shooter believed his life was in danger and under current law he had the right to act in self defense up to and including shooting the other man.
Is that pretty much generally agreed upon?
A pretty good synopsis of what we have learned so far:
The Night George Zimmerman Killed Trayvon Martin

would we be on page 19 if that were "generally agreed upon" ?

I stopped counting the number of factual errors, and pure guesses they try to portrait as facts, at around 20..... but yes, great article![]()
I'd ask you to share a few of these "factual errors" but we both know you won't.![]()
What does "George Zimmerman Wanted To Be A Cop" or "Trayvon Martin Was Suspended From His Miami-area High School" have to do with anything?
I think is is a much better synopsis:
NYT, 4/1/2012
Nope...Your mind seems to be made up, so it would be tantamount to beating my head against the wall.
I think the race baiting / race deniers are why we have 19 pages. Arguing if the shooter "felt" like he was in danger because the other guy was black with a hoodie seems like something that can never be known. I am just hearing a lot of calls for the arrest of Zimmerman and as far as I can tell the law is on his side here.

There's no shortage of arrests and trials in this country that involve an armed person shooting an unarmed person. Are we going to start seeing "self-defense" used as a strategy in every one of them? The prisons are going to empty out pretty fast in that case.
Hi, I'm new here, but I've noticed you seem dumb. And yet you've already determined that Zimmerman is guilty.![]()
