How was he able to serve in the military and get drafted to Vietnam if he was partially retarded?

My IQ is just 13 points above Forrest at 89.

I was in special education and I've seen people with IQ's in that range, and they behave exactly like Forrest did.

Kind of simple...

His mother in non-college schools. Speed in college...he sure was fast. And army at that would take most any IQ....

Think you just answered your own question, my boy. Now...can we please find something else to talk about than your supposed lack of IQ,which in my opinion counts for nothing. They're tests, just like any other. Some people do well on tests, some don't, which is why I don't believe they're a fair assesment.

IQ is a very important tool in assessing one's academic ability.

Many employers require that employees under go IQ tests and thorough psychological evaluations before being promoted to certain positions.

All IQ is, is your ability to process information. It has nothing to do with how well you do academically. Even if you have a "low" IQ, if you put in the effort, there's no reason why you can't succeed. I've never taken an IQ test to get a position, including a management one. I would imagine ones that require psychological testing would be for jobs that were highly stressful.

For someone without a job, you seem to put ALOT of stock in hearsay......

You are right...but if a person with a low IQ put half the effort in college as you do here with your fake persona they would be as good as the those people with high IQs that don't crack a book until 3 hours before the exam. College is about effort...what are you willing to put into it?
