What's funny is that little more than twenty years ago, it looked like just the opposite was happening. Young people from the late 70s to the early 90s, and especially in the 1980s, were heavily leaning to the Republicans. Democrats were a joke among all my friends. I was one of the last to ditch them in my circle of friends actually. It seemed like Democrats were the party of the middle age ex-hippies and the elderly New Deal old people who were dying off. Of course, that was then but my point is see how quickly things can change in a generation or two?

Even today you look at the voting graphs by age and people in their late thirties and forties are more likely to be Republican than those in their fifties/early sixties and those younger. Yes, Gen Y is off the charts anti-Republican but this can be countered in a generation if issues and conditions change. Pendulum swings do happen, so no worries long term.

The right to have privacy in the doctors office for one....politicians have no business legislating to MD's why,how, what kind, when and where women receive treatment from a medical doctor in order to push their social agenda.

His ability to handle the economy is not in question. I feel Santorum would be great for the economy. I mean how could less hostility towards business from the government not be good for the economy...got it.

We allow ourselves to be divided into social constructions, invented by those who have died centuries ago and have no place in what should be an intelligent modern society...It is bad enough we let ourselves be divided by racial terms, which is completely ignorant, since when can a species in an animal kingdom be subdivided base solely on their outward appearance? One has no control on how they look when they are born but yet we let ourselves be classified and divided from being homo sapiens, the human species...Now we have political division! Are we not all Americans? Yes, of course we have difference of opinions which is natural with the only free willed species in the animal kingdom, but one would think in times of hardship we would but away our "parties" and come together as a nation, make compromises and fix our country, but hey I guess that is the crazy thinking of a younger generation...I am dreamer to hope one day our cultural differences and religious differences have no barrings on the understanding that in the end we are all humans. Also a dreamer to hope we get rid of the idiotic and ignorant classification of race...if we were all blind, how would we know who is "black" "white" or "green", (whatever color you want to use to define a person.
