do i need to solicit an editor

No. You just need a little patience. :) The usual time for a story to post is 3 days/72 hours, but it's been running longer than that lately. So you may need to wait five days. However, if you click on the "pending" link and then on "resubmit," it will be longer, as your story will go to the back of the queue. So just hang in there. :)

i sorry

you answered my other question about this. I know. I seem impatient. I just dont like having VIRGIN under my "name" in the forum....

Lots of folks asks this sort of question. Some answers are in the FAQs (which aren't that easy to find). Others aren't answered by the FAQs. You're not asking anything that a lot of others feel they need to ask too.

That is something entirely different. That is based on posts.

Once you get to 100 posts, you will be able to add an avatar, and your status will be raised to 'experienced'

I think at 200 or 250 it turns to 'really experienced' At 500 it turns to 'literotica guru' And at 1000 you can type whatever you want into the saying under your name

I've been trying grimly to get there for the past few months.

If you want to rack up posts fast, get over to the playground.

good to know! Thanks!

Mostly right, but not entirely.

Quoting the FAQs:-

Why is the word "Virgin" beneath my username? I'm not a virgin!

The title beneath your username on the Bulletin Board will change as you make more posts. Here are the current titles at each post level:

0-29 posts - Virgin

30-99 posts - Experienced

100-299 posts - Really Experienced

300-499 posts - Really Really Experienced

500-999 posts - Literotica Guru

1000+ posts - You can create your own title via your Control Panel.

Once you've made 100 posts, you can upload an avatar (an image) to go beneath your name. Please do not use copyrighted images as your av.

Ah

It's always hard to find the FAQs again when you're looking for them

Thanks for correcting me, giving bad advice to a newbie, somebody should boot my ass to the curb!

Any question
You might get more/better responses to any queries if you switch on your Private Messages. Go to User CP (top left of this page) then click on Edit Options (in the left hand column) and then tick Enable Private Messaging in the second box down. Make sure that the next box down (Receive Private Messages only from Buddies and Moderators) is NOT ticked. Finally click Save Changes at the bottom of that page.

To fix your date of birth (which seems to worry you) go to User CP (top left of this page) then click on Edit Profile (in the left hand column) and then change your Date of Birth in the third box down. Click Save Changes at the bottom of that page.

I know I sound school marm-ish, but I am really only trying to help.

*LadyC out of her cavern for a min.*

Better to sound school marm-ish than pedantic, hun.

I guess most people don't really mind being told something they don't know, or forget, with that kind of tone. Whereas the pedants think they are being helpful and clever by getting on their soap box and letting the world know they think they're the next best thing after sliced bread; which absolutely doesn't help at all.

Anyhow, to me, it's better to be a fuddy-duddy;) than an arrogant, know-it-all, self-important, pedant who critiques everyone but can't accept criticism when it comes to their own self.

Oh, sorry about that. What was the reason? (Click on the "rejected" link to see the possible reason(s) a story was rejected.)
