I used to put movie and television quotes in between songs. I had about a dozen cassettes full of lines from movies to use. When I rented videos, I had the cassetter recorder ready for lines that stuck with me.

Such as from Animal House I might insert

"I think that this situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture be done on somebody's part"

Then have the song.

It would be so much easier to do now.

Plus it wasn't usually for my lust, but for a party.

I remember taping Slayer albums from the records back in the day and editing out the gratuitous guitar solos and foul language. Over half the song would sometimes get cut out. I thought it was hilarious but it seemed to piss a lot of my friends off for some reason.
