Yeah, this is a bitching-thread, but hey, misery loves company.

I have a total of 2 (count 'em) 2 heterosexual stories out of 50. I can understand them being the most popular, because lets just face it, the breeders on this site outnumber the gays.

But recently, I've been getting some frustrating feedback. At first, it was just a few people that were curious as to why I wrote gay male, but then I got this email.

"loved the slav girl, you should make a sequal only have her be pregnant with lots of breastmilk only for her MAster, only share a little with the child.

WHy do you bother writingg ay male when you are so good at this?stop writing faggot stuff and make a squeal to the slave girl"

...
First of all, eww. Maybe that's a strange thing to be squicked by breast milk, but I find absolutely nothing sexual or titillating about the human udders, especially when they are being used for their intended purpose.

Second of all...

What is the most annoying feedback you've gotten? I don't mean trolls, or hurtful feedback, I mean the emails that just make you want to bang your head against a wall in frustration and impotence.

Ewww, indeed. See, I'd be squicked out by the idea of the child being malnourished, but then I've had and nursed two kids.

I think that's the kind of feedback you should ignore, or delete and ignore, whichever.

No ewww is the feedback I get on mother son stories from all the freaks who are obsessed with sons knocking up their mothers. They then usually feel the need to try to share with me their personal experiences with their mom or the things they wanted to experience with her.

Thing is I don't even have that kink. My mother/son stories are to gain favs and views because mother/son is the highest draw of any other story type.

But understand that hardcore non con fans are the dregs of both lit and r/l. Pussified men who are domineered by their moms or wives and who fantasize about hurting women, because in reality they couldn't hurt a fly.

pay no attention to them and never reply they'll think you "want it" too.

My least favorite feedback was telling me not to give into peer pressure and write one story into a gangbang story. I wasn't giving into pressure. That was my intention from the beginning. I like gangbang stories.

When I first started writing here I got feedback from some lout who alleged that he/it held a doctorate and that I should pay attention to his/it's diatribes. I didn't and eventually he/it died or went to go find someone more responsive to torment.
When you get obnoxious feedback, delete it from your screen and brain and continue to march.

I have published . . . two? . . . stories with gay/bisexual male involvement. They both got bombed initially and then the ratings slowly climbed. I guess there are some closet homophobes among the readership who don't read the tags and get offended when a fictional character behaves outside their chosen parameters.

Such is life.

I'd gotten some fabulously stupid feedback, back when I had more stories up. Some of it was so weird, I kept it in a file-- but lost it in a hardrive crash. I'm sure that the dumb stuff will be showing up again. The desire to read erotica is no guarantee of IQ!

I've had a good bit of nasty "feedback," mostly over my one entry in the LW, but as far as stupid feedback goes, I've had a number complaining that the sex in my stories was too detailed. Apparently I was supposed to "fade out" as they started to take off their clothes and leave the sex to the readers imagination. Well, I guess people are entitled to their own views of what constitutes "erotica."

I got a pregnant-fetish thing too for one of my stories. The guy wanted all the girls knocked up and babies crawling around the house during the stories. I frankly found it more than a little weird.

I also got chewed out for adding in lesbianism "out of nowhere," when I telegraphed that about as loudly as possible throughout the whole story.

But whatever. It's just a natural divide between what people like to read and what I like to write, so I don't take it personally.

Another stupid feedback that many incest writers will get is that if you're writing a long series and you involve other people. Example, I got crucified by several readers when I had the sister in the story start dating someone.

It fit the story, she was falling for her brother and trying to put some distance between them. People flipped out though and then again when I had the brother have a love interest further down the line. They take that shit seriously!

I also was blasted for adding the element of BDSM to the incest. Guess brothers and sisters are supposed to always be nice to each other.

I had one where someone told me there were too many sex scenes in one of my stories. Um, you do realize you are on an erotica site, right?

But for the most part, I've gotten nice and helpful feedback.

. . . . but then I got this email.

. . . . The desire to read erotica is no guarantee of IQ!

Or of education, by the look of it.

One is surprised that some of them can even read any words longer that 'chicken' . . . but then, that would be bestiality and you can't have that here.

LW is always fun for zany feedback. Though in Fetish I was called a goober gobbler and that made my day.

Actually, the only laughable feedback I've ever received was during the just completed Valentine's Day contest. Anonymous complained that I was lazy and didn't culminate the romance story with enough sex. Enough sex to get him off, I guess. He (I assume the commentator is male) then went on to complete the missing sex scene for me.

The comment wasn't exceedingly stupid, so I let it stand because he made me laugh. Besides, I asked for comments at the end of the story, so I have no grounds for a complaint.

I always ask for comments and rarely get any. However, :), I have been getting a lot of 'favorite author' and 'favorite story' hearts over the last two days so I have no complaints. And the point score on The Copulist Capers stuns me.

You will NOT believe the feedback I got.

After reading Siblings and Lovers Ch.01, I got email feedback from a girl who wanted pointers from me on how to go about seducing her brother (whom she apparently had a crush on). According to her, since I wrote about a long drawn seduction, I should be able to help her out.

I didn't even bother replying.

A lot of people post feedback just to shock and upset. If they knew your number they'd make an obscene phone call, or if they knew where you lived they'd wait in the bushes and jump out and flash you. It's all the same thing.

I have a theory that most nasty feedback comes from high shame categories like Incest, Loving Wives, and Gay, where readers are both excited by a story and shamed by their excitement. They deal with their conflict by enjoying the story and then bashing the author.

I have never gotten nasty feedback in gay male, not once. I tend to believe that gay male actually holds the nicest group of commentators, seeing as they are mostly women anyway. I just mean that in a general way, most of the rudest comments seem to be from men. The only rude or disturbing feedback I've ever gotten is from my straight stories.

4 or five nasty bits of feedback from 2 straight stories, verses 0 nasty feedback from 47 gay stories. That can't be a coincidence.

Amazing that it seems mostly women read GM and mostly men read lesbian. I wonder if that means the real Gays and lesbians think the stories here aren't accurate.

As for weird feedback? Um yeah. Did you know that in California there is a homosexual coven of vampires? You didn't know? Well I do. About a month ago, I received a feedback email from what I thought was a female reader going by what was in the message. So, I sent 'her' an email back, thanking them for the kind words. This gave 'them' my actual email and a means to send me pictures of the craziest shit I have ever seen in my entire life. Which has to be out there for me because after writing about sex for awhile we all know everything gets rather boring. Pictures are like...eh. Stories are like...read it. Real life...tried it.

My anti virus runs the email and the attachments are clean, so I open them and my jaw drops. In a quick description: a giant gay blood drinking orgy. Very realistic and I have done special fx work before. At one point during the picture parade, I wasn't even sure what I was looking at. Shudder. I'm pretty dark and twisty as far as my writing but that was something else.

Most of them are just damn funny!

My favorite ones are where two str8 chicks get thrown together and instantly both become strapons weilding dykes. :D

Uh-huh. Some straight guy's daydream, obviously. Whenever I'm planning on writing something I haven't experienced (and being 'Mr. Vanilla Straight Guy, that's almost everything!) I at least try and find someone who knows about such things to ask. I can daydream along happily like everyone else but at least a token breath of reality is appreciated!

:D:D:D:D:D

I rarely get feedback, let alone stupid feedback. Hm. I wonder if that's because I haven't written a story in a while. As far as feedback goes, the closest thing to negative comments would have to be someone, a woman, I think, who said there was no need for her to read a story where someone took the name of the lord in vain. Another reader didn't like my character's choice of fantasy. Apparently having her watch a guy jack off in the shower wasn't his idea of an "ultimate desire".

Yeah. On consideration, I'd omit Gay from my categories. Gay men are usually exceptionally tolerant and understanding. What I was trying to get at are people who are deep in the closet and highly conflicted about some secret desire or fantasy. They come here and read stories on the subject and then purge themselves of guilt by directing their anger at the author.

And you're right again. I'd say by far the majority of them are men, who feel their masculinity threatened by these desires and who are more likely to react with anger.

I don't work much in the high-risk categories. Most of the nasty FB I get is from men demanding my heroines be punished for being 'sluts,' or taking me to task for not being more cruel and sadistic in my BDSM stuff.
