Apparently although Americans make up the largest national group on this site the Indians come second ahead of the Brits. So this is for them.

Yesterday Sachin Tendulkar, Indian cricketer, master batter, and national hero, became the first man to score 100 scores in excess of 100, in International matches.

He is the first player since International competition began in 1844 to achieve this milestone. He made his first hundred aged 18 and it took him 20 years to get to his hundredth.

The next best man is way behind on 71.:)

He made both sets of National News in England too, with extended items on his achievement. One hundred centuries in those sort of matches is unlikely to be equalled - ever.

Not only is he a great Indian cricketer, he is a great ambassador for cricket in all countries. He is an International hero for those who follow cricket.

If they're the second-largest group, they're being awfully quiet.

Certainly the most polite.

Damn straight they are.

I was on the phone with a guy from India (tech support call of course) for about an hour for work the other day.

I haven't heard so many Please and thank you's and Sirs since the last BDSM story my wife read me awhile back.

Awww... an entire thread on my ethnicity. How nice. So what if I am in NY, at heart I am still very close to my Indian heritage.

Oh and I am a massive Sachin fan.

Aap sabko hamare taraf se bahut bahut shubhkamnayein

I get a regular collection of "strange" stuff from the 'States and one of the lists was about International Sporting Achievements"; it went on to deal with many persons doing things that probably don't occurr outside the USA, and never once mentioned Tendulkar or even Bradman.
