Vic Lombardi of CBS 4 Denver reports that the Broncos are now "95 percent sure" they will sign free agent Peyton Manning after he reached out to the team late Sunday night.

I have been trying to remain as optimistic as possible about Manning coming to the Dolphins, but I am now really starting to lose hope. Over the past couple of days, there have been zero indications of Manning coming here. As of now, we still do not even have a meeting set up. He is coming back to Miami tonight but that does not necessarily mean anything since Miami is his off-season home. I know things can change quickly, but I am really starting to buy this Manning to Denver thing.

The Dolphins have been tight-lipped about this situation, but if there are no major developments by sometime tomorrow than I would write us off. Tomorrow should be a very interesting day.

If we do not end up with Manning, Ross and Ireland have some serious explaining to do as to what happened since nobody with the Dolphins has said anything so far in regards to the Manning situation.

In a perfect world, the Dolphin's decision to send Brandon Marshall to Chicago to reunite with Jay Cutty for only two 3rd rd. draft picks means they have some sorta deal with Peyton Manning and Reggie Wayne.

That during the 6-hour Monday night meeting Dolphin's Head Coach Philbin had with Peyton Manning - something came up about him wanting to play for the Fins but only if they cut the cancer-diva Pro Bowl MVP Marshall.

I thought it was a lot more entertaining than saying if Manning signs with Zona to hook up with Fitzgerald, both will continue to be great players, but Manning will only last eight games with the Zona line protecting him.

Peyton's waiting on Brees to make his deal. FA starts tomorrow - when chunks of money free-up. Brees had always expected this pending contract to be driven up by Peyton. Tables are turned. How much and where either end up is intertwined, I think. I keep saying the Saints are in the mix, pending Brees' next week or so. Peyton in NOLA is big money to the league. He'll come cheaper.
