And it's a shame. That's no reason not to start moving towards that sort of organization in most places. Tax supported transit system buses in my town are mostly empty.

Both, those cities that are spread out like most in the west are not suitable to mass transit. City centers are becoming obsolete, people tend to build outer communities and infrastructure designed to remove them from having to go "downtown."

But high speed rail would be handy for getting the drug shipments to town.
