"I drive a Ford and a Chevy and my wife drives a couple of Cadillacs".

There might be something to that. It says here that the Roanoke settlers didn't watch NASCAR.If you don't watch nascar you are a communist.
Who is your favorite NASCAR driver, Mitt?
"I have some friends who are NASCAR team owners.''
*laughing*
Mittens Romney....man of the people.

Some of my best friends are rednecks.....![]()

And to think, this guy is from my own home state.
He went from "Let Detroit go bankrupt." to "It was MY idea to bail them out!" and tries to spin his own words just to make himself look good in order to take credit for something he was originally against.
This is simply the apex of arrogance.

Well, looks like Romney won Michigan... barely, but he won. Santorum was right on him the whole way and got edged out by only 3%. That should be telling Romney something. "You're not as loved as you thought you were here!"
The auto industry is doing a lot better now. Just like the OP said: good sales (for now) and more people getting hired (my plant included). And people like Romney are trying to paint this as a bad thing.
What some people fail to realize is that we (the auto workers) are not just looking out for ourselves. We're looking out for our state. Michigan is an industrial state and has been for a long time, whether people like it or not. The wages we make aren't just for me and my co-workers, they're for everyone in this state.
Stores, shops, and small businesses depend on our wages for their livelihood (and in some cases, I mean this literally). Without us spending our earnings here, businesses will fold; some already have and are not coming back.
Romney was all for bailing out his buddies on Wall Street, but when it comes to people like me... apparently, we don't count.
'Man of the people'... HAH!![]()
59% of voters opposed Romney and he's doing a victory lap.
Ditto for Detroit. The average American car is 12 years old and the UAW is doing a victory lap.
A 'victory lap' under a yellow caution flag doesn't impress me. Now, if he won Michigan like he did Arizona, then...
