Not lately. Problems at the last one in Chicago pissed off the person who was setting them up. So, no more.

We had two here in Texas years back but the couple who hosted them parted ways.

Definitely for separate reasons. Said person had nothing against Litogethers but didn't want to be responsible for another one. Then came local politics and she had to bail.

Some thought has been given to holding another one, possibly in St. Louis because of its central location and generally fun night life but I don't know any who live close enough to it to do the organizing. Holding one out here on the Left Coast would be really rough on folks living east of the Rockies. And it wouldn't be cheap, either!

Speaking as a northener who quite enjoyed Palo Duro in July and Death Valley in early August, I'm good for the summer as well, Tex. And, though I might get a bit wet, I don't think I'll melt (unless Maj is there, of course).

I threatened to go to one once, back before I had ever flown anywhere.

I wasn't afraid of flying, I was afraid of the airport experience. The entire thing. Buying tickets, getting to the terminal, getting through security, and to the plane, let alone getting picked up by strangers at the other end. Scared the ever-loving shit out of me.

I think I'm over all that nonsense now, after flying six times with my family.

Now I'm just broke
