The greatest scientist EVER to live

He was an inventor but he was no scientist. Check out his inventions here.

His inventions and work in science revolutionized technology.

Some of his work is now being used by the US govt' and military in highly classified projects for things like weather control, anti-gravity propulsion, zero-point energy, scalar weaponry, and so forth.

Nikola Tesla is a marvel of science.

Everyone loves Tesla- or at least they did after teh Prestige came out. I liked Tesla before it was cool. Ok, maybe not, because it was really cool before I was born, but before it was Prestige cool.

Then why don't any of those things exist?

They do, they just aren't available commercially. Only the government and military has them. They're called "black projects".

And because zero-point energy is incredibly wasteful compared to pinpoint energy. It only works if you're gonna put a lot of stuff on that particular grid. Then, it's awesome. Any other place, like a rural area or even a normal house, and it's ridiculously expensive and potentially tumor-causing. That's why they're still researching it. If they were perfectly feasible, we'd be using them already. Tesla's inventions have problems, like everything else, but once perfected will be steampunk as a motherfucker!

"Black" technology is allegedly 2,000 years more advanced than what we have today.

What do you think the army of scientists, engineers, and government contractors have been doing deep within the bowels of Area 51 over the past 40-50 years along with trillions of dollars worth of black budget research?

They have things which are completely indistinguishable from that of star trek and star wars.

Tesla's work laid the foundation for many of these technologies.

What is the point of the military and government having them if they don't deploy them? What would have been the value of stealth technology if we hadn't at some point manufactured an airplane that could actually bomb targets while appearing "invisible" to enemy radar?

Tesla was brilliant.

Fucking... brilliant.

Whenever you see light at night, thank Nikola Tesla.

Edison thought himself clever, and devised a system whereby whole cities could be provided electricity.

But, practically, it was a nightmare. When you send direct current over a wire the voltage, or pressure behind the electrons, drops over distance. And so Edison thought that maybe there could be booster stations along the way.

Another failure idea.

And who solved the puzzle? Tesla.

Alternating Current.

Switch those little bastards 50 or 60 times a second.

Electrons don't have feelings: they're subatomic particles. Let's make them work for us.

And they never scream, "Help!!! We're being repressed."
Exactly!

And there old Ben Franklin was, flying a kite in the rain like an idiot, trying to figure them out!

And now here we are, making them do whatever we tell them to do.

Electrons are now the bitches of humanity.

But they still need some sort of stimulus package. ;)

A trillion dollars would go a long way to encouraging the electrons to perform as required.

If the people are into it, let's do it.

Or, wait... maybe we could just pile up a trillion dollars and burn it in tribute to our ancestors. That would be pretty cool.

Electrons are now the bitches of humanity.

Not exactly.

They work exactly as nature intended - we simply direct them with more precision than Franklin.

On the micro level we've advanced but on the power distribution level, we're still at 1935.
