Writing Goal for the Day?

Getting two short stories registered for a mainstream competition today. If I have time left over from that, it's back to reviewing on the second volume of the Clint Folsom compendium.

Heavy wet snow yesterday cut my writing short, had to shovel it. Good exercise :D

Today, as the flurries fly, I want to get some notes finished on several on-going projects, try to figure out whether or not to submit a story for a cowboys-werewolves anthology, whether or not to create a fictional independent baseball league for this season and write short stories involving the teams and players.

Just lying back and reviewing the story from the start. Making little changes as I see them. 32 chapters done and I must say, I write a damn good tale. Whether anyone else thinks its any good, doesn't matter really, I'm really proud of what I've created. I actually forgot parts that I'd written about, so I'm glad I'm going back again. Continuity of everything can get daunting, when so much is happening. Swinging back and forth from present to past doesn't make it any easier either, lol. I do like that it gives me places to make a break and change the flow.

Little stuff added to several old stories. One or two got major additions. All in all, a very good day.

A restless night so I'm up early and I've already finished an old story and working on a second. It's going to be a good day.

Going to try to get some work done on the second chapter of my BDSM series this morning.

I don;t have a lot of time today, but for a good reason. I scored good seats to the Pats/Broncos game tonight and plan on meeting up with some people and starting the party around 4.

I've been excited all week, but am ready to slap the next person who tells me how cold its going to be. I'll be drinking right up until game time, all will be fine.

Typed up some notes for R&B9, but more importantly, finished the Valentine's Day story I started. 8700 words in two days, I think. Love it when that happens. I know it needs changes and all, and may in fact end up not a Valentine's Day story, but we'll see how it goes.

I'm not sure what is going to happen today in regards to writing. I proof-read TE's work for Kismet. I want to edit my V-day story again. I want to start on a novel/novelette idea. Also I'm waiting for the spouse to wake up so I can use the phone (don't know where he hid it). I need to find the cheapest place to fill my meds. without medical insurance (it doesn't kick in until the 1st of Feb.) and my blood pressure is not really happy with me at the moment.

Anywhoo... I do believe the V-day story is first, the spouse may be awake by the time I'm done. If not then I'll work one of the two - make that three - novel/novelette ideas I have brewing.

I actually have time to write today. Woo-hoo! Now I just need to remember how. I'm hoping to make progress on the story that's been popping around my head for a while now, but has been sitting at 4,000 words since Jan. 3, the last time I looked at it.

And yes, I'm staying warm and naughty, and enjoying the new job, though not at the same time. Sadly, the new office is completely lacking in hotness.

At least there's a Canadian, so I have someone to talk hockey with. :)

Lacking in hotness, huh? Looks like youre a good fit for the job.

OK, Dr. M. You asked why posters dump on JBJ's writerly threads. Here you go. It's because of how he craps on writerly threads himself. Got a clue on that now?

My goal for writing? Anything really, just open Word and write. Even a sentence would be good. Tired of letting my laziness get in the way of my creativity.

Unexpectedly wrote a story today. Woke up with the storyline in my head. It's off to the editor.

Well, I got the final edit on the V-day story done, and I managed to get my meds, though I had to call the "on-call" doctor and have him send a new prescription to the store because they wouldn't fill it since I'd had it last filled by the mail.

Other than the edit, I did accomplish a new post for the only SRP I'm in. So it was a productive day to say the least.

Edited to add:

I have come up with a new "How To" idea. :D

Funny. I interpreted what JBJ said as a compliment. A rare one, but a compliment, nonetheless. Because if Tat's there, the temps are bound to go up....

If you come here wanting opinions dont be surprised if you get them. I've said it plenny of times: Newbies come here expecting a pat on the back and a plastic trophy cuz they tried.

Today's goal is to initially shake off a bitch of the hangover I have from last nights Pats game. I managed to stay fairly warm because we smuggled flasks in, but feeling it today.

Also feeling a little sicker than I had been, might be because I was Tebowing shirtless out in the parking lot after the game. I really have to learn to stop taking dares.

eventually I will start editing the second chapter of my new series and maybe start the third.

Sprinkled a few new words into the third chapter of what will probably be a six chapter wankfest and off soon to an art exhibit.

Got feedback on R&B9 which will help with the start, but need more. I'm not sure if it will finish up in this chapter. It might, but I don't want it to be rushed.

Tebowing isnt as undignified as what you normally do on your knees.

Pain or not, my head is too full of ideas and I have to get writing, or risk losing some of it, even if it's just taking notes. I wish I could just record or download my thoughts into a file, lol.:D
BotC is turning into quite an epic story, far more than I originally imagined. I find myself surprised at times, that I'm actually writing it. I never imagined what I had originally conceived, has taken on such depth and scope in writing. Sure is a far cry from writing about tits and ass, lol.;)

That's true, Jimmy. I read the same things, but I remember when I first started writing, how proud I was that I put thoughts to words and came up with a story. For that, I'll give them praise, but every writer has to expect feedback and opinions, good or bad.
It's being able to take those negative ones and understand why they were given, then use them to improve upon.

I got a good bit of writing done last night, and made it though an entire scene. I hope to get through another tonight, though with the messy state of our house, I don't have high hopes. One thing I've learned from our first week of being back at work and splitting the housework? Mr. Tat's idea of clean and mine aren't the same. At all.

But if I do succeed, I'll have the entire first chapter of a multi-chapter story done. No publishing it soon, though; I've learned my lesson about not releasing a chapter until they're all done (or close to done).

I knew there was a reason I had him on ignore . . . .

Whatever I say, I don't think I can compete with the heat those breasts of yours generate. Just saying.

Though the temp is certainly up right now on my right hand. Pouring water from the kettle while checking facebook on your phone, only to look down and see a giant beetle of some sort climbing up my bare arm, led to a lot of spilled boiling water on my hand and phone. Ouch! Boo, insect-infested new office. Boo, being in the office on a Sunday.
