Conservatives Remain the Largest Ideological Group in U.S.

George W. Bush called himself a "compassionate conservative" in order to distance himself from "those" conservatives...

Do you forget history much?

...

U_D, you're even funnier; you forgot Clinton was the Sec State...

I did Cap'n? When was this exactly?

Regardless, you just (like the rest) reinforced Pereg's point. Maybe he should shoot for second grade level?

Just yesterday.

Remember, the title said something to the effect of NK tells CLINTON and OBAMA...

And you jumped straight to, "There's been a regime change since Bill was President stupid!"

Remember much? Drinking? Black out?

*snicker*

Like Obama and the Cambridge cops, Throb, the Left and Hadditha, you just KNEW ol' A_J was posting "stupidly.."

Someone didn't get the memo that N. Korea is under new management since the Clinton days. The son does not always follow in the father's footsteps. In some cases the son abandons the father's ideology completely. As a "legacy child" I'm a perfect example of that.

We shall see where Kim Jung-un's footesteps fall.
Quite a leap you made there Cap'n AdHominem.. There has been a regime change in N. Korea. My statement in no way supports your contention that I "forgot" that Hillary is Sec of State. I was pointing out the inherent ignorance in attributing the positions of the father onto the son.

For the record, I rarely drink, but when I do it's never to the point of even being beyond the legal limit to drive. Something I'm very sure you can't claim.

But keep playing straw-man if you wish. It's time for my run.

But, if you followed the links to the story, the son is not his own man and not deviating from the father's plan and you, probably because she's a woman, saw Clinton and could only envision the past and another dastardly attack on your hero, so you got on your armor, stoked up your lance, mounted your white steed and rushed into the breech to enact a heroic rescue against your designated, daily, cartoonishly evil golem.

You have no idea what straw-man is if you use it in this context, but you are going to give those you refer to as a rw-circle jerk a real nice belly laugh when they open this thread today, just like the one they had yesterday at your expense.

Perhaps if you thought things out before you reacted to them...?

If Romneys the nominee I'll likely vote for Obama to punish the GOP idgits.

Nice bit of attribution there in the first paragraph Cap'n Disingenuous. That was classic straw-man.

You have no more of an idea how Kim Jong-un is going to rule North Korea than I or anyone else does. The remains of his father's government are engaging in propaganda, selling the cult of personality to the people (and the rest of the world) that he is exactly the same as his father. Which is almost never the case. He may very well be, as I said, we will have to see where his footsteps fall.

Perhaps if you thought, at all.

Still not Straw-man and still funny as hell.

Where did you run to? The refrigerator?

What would you call inventing and then ascribing a motivation to my actions rather than addressing the actual post, moron?

Left to run ~6:47, returned at 7:40.. Check the post time stamps dipshit.

How long do you think it takes to run three miles at an 8 minute mile pace Cap'n Mathematician? I ran, had breakfast, took a shower and laughed my ass off at your response for a good 5 minutes during the time between posts.

Not straw man.

Not even ad hominem.

If you were trying to advance some sort of a point, or argument, then you might possibly try to call foul, but you are doing neither, just, going back to time mark 05:20, looking for a chance to join with Perg in a little actual ad hominem.

Everything that followed that is a hilariously flawed attempt at logically defeating your Klingon enemies in a game of rock, paper, scissors, lizard, SPOCK!

:(

Poor Cap'n, called on your bullshit and have nowhere to go but yet MORE ascription and personal attacks.

You're the one who insisted that I forgot Hillary was Sec of State. With that myth dismissed you turned to ascribing a motivation to the post rather than address the point which was laid out quite plainly, twice.

Ascribing the positions of the father onto the son or assuming that news stories out of North Korea regarding his leadership methods or potential are anything resembling proven fact is moronic.

Until he's actually built a track record not a single person knows what will happen or which direction the new government will go. we will have to wait and see. Was that too many syllables? Perhaps I should take the advice I gave Pereg and lower my explanation to around 2nd grade level for you?

You went on to reinforce my point by engaging yet again in your favorite tactic, ascribing positions to your perceived enemy(ies). Then swinging like a punch-drunk idiot at your construction.

Now you want to sob about someone supposedly engaging in Ad Hominem?
Cap'n Hypocrite the the bitter fucking end huh?
I would laugh if it, and you, weren't so fucking SAD.

A little slow this morning Cap'n? I already reposted that quote.
Nowhere is there the slightest indication that I "forgot" that Hillary was Sec. of State now. Anyone with half a handful of functioning brain cells should know that I was referring to President Clinton, not His wife who is now Sec. of State.

I could just as easily claim that you forgot that Bill Clinton was President, since that was who I was talking about.

You're trying MUCH too hard. Be careful or you'll strain something.

We're positively rolling...

"Legacy Child"

lol

Unfamiliar with the term? Not surprising.
I've explained before, see. My father was a member of the KKK, a staunch conservative who did his damnedest to indoctrinate me to his way of thinking. He failed.

No, he produced the same person only on the other side of the idiocy.

Now, that's not an ad hominem or a straw man.

You "forgot" Hillary was in power or the title would not have thrown you off on such a tangent.

Magic H8 Ball™ sez Correct.

Of course not, just another personal attack..

I forgot nothing, you read into my statement what you wanted to in order to engage in your daily snark rather than actually address the point.

There was no tangent, the thread was projecting the positions of the father onto the son based on the propaganda being put out by the incumbent North Korean government controlled press. Something you are willing to believe because quite simply you want so badly for it to be true only because it would reflect badly on the current US administration.

Just another thread with you attempting to bash the President and a Clinton, any Clinton will do: Hillary, Bill, Chelsea. Typical "conservative" Tourettes.

That was a good thread. It was amusing that you mentioned two of the three most recent presidents, and omitted the one under whose administration North Korea actually first tested a nuclear weapon, but I didn't post in it because I thought the hypocrisy spoke for itself. Or maybe you blacked out yourself for those 8 years? Lord knows I wish I had...

Which is exactly my point.

Had he been a respondent in the poll, he would have said he was a conservative. That's why I commented on the poll being about people labeling themselves.

Is that close enough to fourth grade for you guys, or you need me to dumb it down yet another notch?

This is a point I've tried to make before, but you don't have to take my word for it: just look at reality. In a country where self-described conservatives outnumber self-described liberals by about 2-to-1, the more liberal of the two parties controls the Senate and has won the popular vote in 4 of the last 5 presidential elections.

There are only three ways you can reconcile these facts: One, conservatives are much more numerous but are for some reason much less likely than liberals to vote (I don't think anyone buys this unless you're a "voter fraud" paranoid); two, most of the people who call themselves moderate in practice almost always vote for Democrats; three ( and this is related to #2), conservatives aren't shy about proclaiming themselves as such, to the extent that even other conservatives can look at a Dubya and go "no, he wasn't really one of us," but there are social and political pressures in America that make it difficult to stand up and admit you're a liberal. Think about it: when was the last time you heard a politician claim "Yes, I truly am a liberal!" and liberal groups denying it?

So I think what you have is a country where people who are 1% right-of-center happily will call themselves conservatives because they want to sit at the popular kids' table; but those who are 1% left-of-center, or even 50% left-of-center (someone like Obama), are more likely to cling to "moderate" because it's more socially acceptable.
