Thanks, Tx. I wasn't paying attention to the number of posts. That could have turned out badly, and I have enough of my own boot prints on my butt from the same mistake in the past *laugh*

No problem. Anyway, I'm wearing my bunny slippers so you're safe this morning. :D

How's the Valentines story coming? I've got 2 in the bag and waiting for the starting gun.

I've got two short ones ready and a third to be edited. Three different categories. Just some stories that were fun to write. Wrote two of them in one day each. Then another day of making corrections. Guess there wasn't a lot of thought in them but that's the way I write. It comes into my head, I write it. haha.
Best of luck to you.

It must be the old fart writing method cause it works for me also. :D

On hold. *laugh*

I found something buried in the dusty drafts folder, and I'm powering through a replacement chapter for the ARS chain to complete it, since one of the authors left and took down all her stories.

I was at a dead end at the time, but knowing what happens afterward filled in those blanks I had in my head :)

Well, get to work and quite goofing off here. ;)

Thanks everyone for the positive vibes! I appreciate them. Still no answers, but working on it. I've got more tests scheduled in the next few weeks to check inner ear/balance, neuro, and cardiac work-ups. Still no writing, but does it count that I have a supportive Valentine who is putting things on hold to come out and help me with the little one and shuttle me to my appointments? And hasn't run for the hills yet? Okay, that isn't really romantic, but definitely is love.

Hope Cupid and Venus are inspiring you all! :rose:

Red: Thick with myth and magic? Music to my ears. Can't wait to read it! :cattail:

I'm so glad someone is helping you out. ((hugs)) I'll be keeping you in my thoughts and hope all that testing goes quickly and good news and answers are discovered.

For you - if you'd like, I'll send it and you can have the first read.

Oh, lord. An Earth Day contest story hook dropped in my lap this afternoon--and wants to be written.

I'm doing edit #3 on my V-day entry. I'm taking some suggestions made by Dark concerning some other chapters he's edited for me, and applying them to this story. Sure does make things a lot less trippy (new word for my Red's Literotica Dictionary).

Despite R&B9 hanging over me, I may need to try to write the Valentine's Day idea I had. I kind of hate to do that, as it usually throws me off, but then again, I'm not making much headway on the other story anyway.

Sometimes a change in direction can bring you closer to where you want to be. ;)

When a story idea bugs me while I'm into a larger project (as happened today), I usually find it better to just let the story get written, at least in draft. Otherwise it continues to bother me while I'm working on the larger project. (If the larger project is a for-pay project on deadline, I, of course, continue with it.)

That's pretty much constant with me. I have no less than five things going right now, with several others in early planning stages or cover design ( I often use those as writing inspiration rather than putting them together after the fact ) and it's a toss-up which one I'm writing on at any given moment.

I have a priority order, but if something's not flowing, I move on to something else. If I don't stay in the habit writing on something, I tend to fall off the horse and lay there for months sometimes :p

If my brain just isn't functioning on plot, I work on something where I'm up to a seduction/sex scene. Sometimes it works the other way around. I tend to have vastly different things going, in order to always have something that might fit my mood available to work on.

If all else fails, I code on the website, which at least moves forward on goals related to my writing.

January 20 just over a week away, and hard aground, because I can't get the lady's motivation right. SA Penn Lady kindly beta read my story and pointed out the flaw. Now why would she stop loathing him and start loving him? And no, he didn't win the lottery or buy some damn cologne.

She would go from loathing to loving because she is a woman. Love hate relationships are a common theme there.

That's what I'm hoping.

Yes, that's what I'm thinking as well. This other story is almost complete in my head, so it could be helpful to get it written and hence out of my head, freeing up brain cells for R&B. And I started it last night so I may not have any choice in the matter anymore.

Ugh, a Dirk Hessian manuscript has come back with a request for a character list and glossary to be added because it is a complex ancient China piece. That will bog me down for a while--but I'll just have to backburner it, because there's other, less complicated work to be done.

 Thanks for reminding me. I need to get a character list and profile sheet together for an upcoming project. Duh! My memory only likes to remember the easy stuff.
