First place for that preying mantis-ish macro photography thingie, meh. But then, that's National Geographic.

That first place photo is a "moving motion" picture of a lioness grabbing the rump of a gazelle. The tail of the lioness and the horns of the gazelle are the balance points and gives the eye the picture once they come into focus.

It took me a moment to wrap my head around it. Like you I saw a scorpion at first.

LOL! I was so sure it was yet another one of those “let's catch the drop of moisture on the pubic hair of a flea” things that I skimmed past it with a mere glance.
