His son is a puppet of the real powerbrokers, mostly the military. so no, I don;t see any real change coming down the pike for N Korea anytime soon.
yeah..I remember in high school thinking, "this is a state to be afraid of"
And hello, and hugs too
North Korean citizen have chosen the Communist system.
Obviously they are happy with their choice.
North Korea is not a poor banana republic like Iraq or Libya.

Nobody knows the real birthdate of Kim Jong Eun let alone what his plans will be for his inherited failed state.
When Kim Jong Il was given the scepter, it was speculated he would be a reformer of some type. They were right; he reformed a lot of things such as shifting the reliance to the KPA from the KWP, devaluing the currency to squelch the market, etc. Too bad those reforms were not for the better.
Chances are, North Korea will change when forced to.
Why does China support NK? I've not heard of NK having any natural resources, the really aren't in a strategic location viz-a-viz China, they have no market to speak of.
What's in it for China?

Also, if you google earth Pyongyang, a lot of the roofs are bright blue. How come?
Maybe now the folks in North Korea will send missles into South Korea.
They are a status symbol.
To what end?
I resent your screen stretching.
I might have to put you on a temp ignore...
I think we place too much importance on individuals and personality cults- a entire society is not going to change because a figurehead kicks the bucket.

You see that back home in Wild, Wonderful, West Virginia a lot too - but there it's because the roof leaks and those blue tarps are a classy fix.
