I've never see a message board lock up like this one

Years ago my office had a multi-user word processing system. It was clunky but worked most of the time.

I was on the help desk and I could usually fix it but the company was sold to a Norwegian company who installed several updates.

When the error messages appeared in Norwegian I knew the system was in deep shit.

It's a relatively recent issue and is probably easy to fix but for some reason they aren't. My guess is that they don't care that much about the boards anymore. No reason to. They're here mostly for the old timers that are gonna stay to the bitter end.

That may very well be true. It sure is annoying as fuck. If they've gotten to the point where they don't give a shit about it, maybe they ought to hand its operation over to someone who has the drive to run it like it should be run.

The boards don't make money. They aren't going to hire someone to run them. As long as the money making parts of the site are working then all is good. Nobody really works all that hard on any message boards these days. There's no reason to.
