The Official 2011 AH Secret Santa Sign-Up Thread

Here it is! Once you sign up here, you will be officially included in the Secret Santa fun. The deadline for signing up and PMing me your information will be Friday, November 19.

Step 1: Make a post in this thread stating your intent to participate.

Step 2: Send me a PM containing all of the information that's asked below. Do this as soon as possible.

Step 3: Pick a number (which you will find on the number-picking thread that goes up this weekend) Based on the number you picked on that thread, I will PM you the information of the person you will be sending a gift to.

Step 4: Get gifting! We've set a limit of about $15, but this is not set in stone, it's just a guideline.

Step 5: Send your gift as soon as possible; we're already running a bit late this year. Please ensure that international packages have enough time to reach their destination. Also, the postal services go a bit wonky around Christmas time so we want to ensure everyone will have their gift on time.

Step 6: Receive the package from your Secret Santa but don't open it until the December 18 deadline! Not even to take off the outer wrapping!

Step 7: Open packages on December 18, post on the forum to talk about what you received, say thanks, be delighted.

Well, the issue with that is that we are already late starting. If the people who signed up are alright with missing the weekend's shopping and can promise to get to a post office on time, I'll extend it to Sunday, noon, and post the picking thread in the afternoon.

Well, we really can't shop until we know who we are buying for. I just thought the sign up was going kind of slow. You're the boss! Call the shots.

This isn't an obligatory gift for your grandma....this is FUN shopping. Or making. Nothing says Holiday Spirit like something homemade.

All this fun could be yours for a low, low price, folks. Nobody is expecting anyone to go to great expense. The limit is usually around $15ish. Which, these days, only means you skip a couple of lattes or a beer or two.
