The nation's largest retailer is planning to offer medical services ranging from the management of diabetes to HIV infections, NPR and Kaiser Health News have learned.

I've never used their optical services but they've had that for a while now. Interesting considering it its even cheaper than Target when it comes to filling prescriptions.

After WalMart introduced their $4 generics...the pharmacy we use did the same. Funny how for years and years we were paying 5-6x that amount, then overnight it was $4.

Yeah, it might be a good thing, if their economic power manages to drive prices down. But only if it drives insurance down as well, and doesn't take the money away from health care workers.
