i want to get to know you better

#50. What was the best road trip you have taken? Where was it to? What was most memorable about it?

Honestly the best road trip I've ever taken was with a guy I barely knew at the time that ended up becoming my best friend. We were in French class together in college. I said I needed to get out of town to regain my sanity, he offered up a road trip although I'd never spoken to him and we spent a whole weekend driving to nowhere in particular. Down from Pittsburgh, over to Ohio, into West Virginia (found some real Wrong Turn kind-of places there), picked up a stray dog in the rain and spent 2 hours trying to find his home, back up to State College with the stray dog (that we named Pete....because he looked like a Pete), made tons of new friends, then headed home after finding Pete a new loving home. The most memorable part about it was picking up Pete in the rain and laughing like hell all weekend long with an amazing person I'm still close to. :)

.....lit lag.

# 50 Road Trip

Spring break to Jacksonville Florida from New Orleans. My girlfriend and I drove her Honda Civic straight and met up with 7 (or so) of our other friends who were already there. We decorated the roach motel walls with jiffy pop popcorn (the containers with the aluminum foil that you pop on the stove). I remember the pervy motel manger, the incredible tan I started that weekend, partying at night, falling asleep on the beach and waking up to crowds all around me and Heart playing on the beach. It is at the top of the list of many great road trips.

#51. If you were forced to sing a karaoke song, which song do you think you know enough words to not make a complete ass of yourself?

A girlfriend and I drove across the state from STL to KC. A 5 hour trip took us almost 9 hours because we had to stop at every cheesy roadside stand and "Hillbilly Paradise gift shop." Once in KC we ate great food, visited the Farmer's Market, had a deluxe hotel room. The drive home took use nearly as long because we had to stop and see friends. It was a great, but exhausting, weekend.

Kiss On My List ~ Hall and Oates

Russian Roulette by Rihanna only b/c I have sung this before at Pornaoke (lol go figure porn playing on a big screen & karaoke) & got a lot of compliments (and I know it wasn't b/c of porn b/c they were in the midst of switching dvds when I got up to sing :p )

The song that I would probably make an ass of myself would be Sweet Home Alabama or maybe Stairway to Heaven.

I've had a bunch of road trips in my life, I think the best was taking the auto train from Maryland to Florida and then driving in the t-bird from outside of Orlando to Key West. We just had a great time.

#49. What was the best Christmas gift you received when your were a kid?

A Siamese kitten that we called Iggy (after Iggy Pop because they sang in a similar fashion) - Iggy became my partner in crime (stealing things from the pantry)and my best bud 'til the day he died.

A road trip accross Moçambique with 5 friends. We called ourselves "The dead parents society" because each of us had recently lost a parent and we took the trip as a way to keep our chins up. Camping on the edge of landmine sites, 2M beer, peri-peri crayfish, crabcakes, snorkelling, silly dress-up beach parties, epic car break-downs, naked body painting , dhow trips and jellyfish stings. Our chins were WELL up by the end of it.

Don't Speak ~ No Doubt

I know the words to absolutely loads of songs, I've got a good memory for them, but I just don't have the voice! :D

Jar Of Hearts.

I would only make an ass of myself attempting and failing to hit the high notes.
