Trying desperately to get my attention poor little Koalatroll?

When someone quotes you actually adding anything of value to a thread, EVER.. I'll consider addressing you directly.

Until then you're relegated to the dung heap with Dizzlebooby and the Cades.

Democrats kill Obama's failed jobs plan again:

Obama’s jobs bill fails second Senate test

After halting President Obama’s entire $447 billion jobs-stimulus bill last week, the Senate blocked a $35 billion slice of the package in a late-night filibuster vote Thursday that highlighted the lingering questions among both parties over the White House’s plans.

The 50-50 vote fell 10 short of the 60 votes needed to advance the bill, and saw two Democrats and one independent join with all 47 Republicans in sustaining a bipartisan filibuster.

“Four out of every five Americans who would pay higher taxes are small business owners. That doesn’t sound like a jobs bill to me,” said Sen. Lamar Alexander, Tennessee Republican.

Minutes later the Senate also blocked Republicans’ counter-proposal, which would have repealed a requirement that would have withheld 3 percent of payments from all government contractors beginning in 2013 — something all sides say is burdensome, but which they can’t agree on how to pay for.

Oh dude, now rape is going to explode thanks to Democrats...

Then U_D also knows, as per "Sheets" Byrd, that the Senate is supposed to be obstructionist, that the Republicans are filing a valuable role as the saucer that cools the coffee...

:)

Elections have consequences and in 2010, THE PEOPLE voted to put the brake on Obama...

He drove us from the Wright ditch to the Left ditch.

Ultimate_dumbass gets all his info straight from the soros blogs, it has to be correct.

Reid knows he does not have the votes.

It's political theater, his member up for reelection have to run away from Obama, so he's doing this just to help them get reelected, people like Claire McCaskell who ran on a "Just Like You" message and then went to Washington and was just like Dem and now that her poll numbers are horrible is trying to revive that myth of the little home-town rural girl who made good...

Yep. Democrats have to run away from the consequences of UD's right to vote.:D

As Ayn said, you cannot avoid the consequences of avoiding reality...

As U_D pointed out, if even SNOWE won't go for it, then where was the Democrat "compromise" that we're daily being told we're thirsting for in Washington DC...

Why didn't Harry say, Okay, Senator, we'll save your teachers, but fuck KANSAS and COLORADO! That'll get the price down and lower the amount we need to borrow from China to prevent rapes and fires in your state...

;) ;) :)

Vette, the Republicans ushered in an era of filibustering EVERYTHING. These votes are actually successful every time, there's just a filibuster thrown in the Dems' faces along with the passed bills. The new requirement to pass legislation is 60 votes, not 50+ as written in the Constitution.

Even little bills 8% of the size of the larger one are being filibustered. It's preposterous. It's not how the procedure was intended to be used and it's not how it was EVER used in the past. The Republicans issued in an era of nothing being done, ever unless it's favored widely by both parties regardless as to which controls congress.

That being said, payback is a bitch. If the Republicans take back the senate next cycle they're only going to be able to pass bills that the Dems like. The bitching and moaning from the right will be deafening, wont it? And somehow none of them will recall the completely unprecedented filibuster abuse they invented themselves.

Well the Democrats countered with reconciliation after they lost the Kennedy seat...

You might also want to look at the filibustering of judges.

And that's exactly what you'll bitch about when the Dems filibuster every bill, big and small when the Republicans regain control. WHAAAAA! Elections have consequences, Democrats! Stop filibustering our things! Every bill deserves an up-or-down vote regardless of party! WHAAA!!

You know I'm right.

I celebrate almost every idea that dies in Congress anymore...

The only place everything deserves an up or down vote comes on election day.

Stop trying to ascribe behaviors to me.

Especially after your little stunt of yesterday where you changed from fuck Bush and the Republicans, they sent jobs overseas, to arguing that Obama sending jobs to Finland was good for the economy because you don't mind our companies sending jobs overseas...

Really. Stop being so blindly partisan.

Well then I apologize. You're going to be fine when the Republicans regain control and write legislation you support, only to see it fail to pass despite an 18-vote margin in favor of it passing. Okay.

When the Senate votes to approve your flat tax by huge 19-point margin I'm sure you'll be cool with it not passing, right?

OOPS!!! Look who's ascribing positions now. Unfortunately for you I never said that at all. Go pound sand, idiot. You just lost all credit in this argument.

Obama didn't send jobs to Finland. Stop lying.

1). They aren't going to write any legislation I support. I am a Libertarian, not a man vested in making government work for me by the selection of a party to power.

2). Yes you did. It was in the 7th or 8th thread about the Karma.

3). No, his cronies selected Finland to manufacture the cars for the rich that we are subsidizing...

Now, when that happened under Bush, it was the result of his failed policies.

Merc you're posting models again...

We cannot examine the assumptions of these models.

*LAUGHS*

Now you're arguing that economic analysis isn't even humanly possible. That way nobody can ever say Cain's plan would ever have an outcome that you find distasteful.

Nevermind that this sort of analysis is not even complex. Determining the impact of 9-9-9 is as simple as it gets.

More anti-intellectual bullshit from you, Aj-alt. You're desperate.

If they are based on Keynesian analysis, then they will be wrong...

It's not. And the Tax Policy Center is chock full of former Reagan and Bush officials.

Regardless, the topic is how much personal income people will have with varying tax rates, not macroeconomics. Keynsianism barely even applies.
