Year-End Winners Announced

Better late than never, huh?

Well, congrats to all the winners. Hopefully they can get the 2011 awards done a bit quicker.

Congrats, PL. Your award is even more impressive due to the fact that you did no campaigning for.the prize. I raise a glass in your honor.

Hail to the victors! And again, though her ears must be burning by now, special thanks to SA Penn Lady, best editor. A truly generous person.

Congrats to Jaz Cullen especially, winning the 'special categories across the board.

And a shout out to her fan base who unlike the fans in most other genres, took the time to show their support of her work.

Well I did a tiny bit of campaigning, but not here. A couple of emails and a mention on my blog post. And same has to be said for MugsyB, I know she told a few people but didn't make a big deal.

Thanks, sweetie. :)

Congratulations to all the winners, and to all who were nominated.

Special congratulations to PennLady. Editing can be such a thankless job, but without it, even the best story stands a chance of falling flat. This is a truly honorable achievement.

Congratulations to all the winners. A special congratulations and thank you to Penn Lady who did some editing for me. I would also like to thank everyone who voted for my story in the Best non-Erotic category. I was lucky enough to win.
With Respect

Thank you to those few who voted for Herd of Donkeys in the Reviews and Essays category.

That category was decided by very few votes. I don't see my win as being anywhere near the success of for example, 'Most Helpful Editor' or 'Best Incest', but I am happy to have won something.

Perhaps for the next year's contests we could have more publicity so that the voting reflects the massive readership of Literotica?

Wow! That's neat ... a disappearing thread...

Most Humorous Victory Statement Award

The man who would be king…
I am happy to have won something. Perhaps for the next year's contests we could have more publicity so that the voting reflects the massive readership of Literotica?

You may be happy to have won but certainly not surprised! The result simply reflects the “you scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours” deal you made with the QUEEN so many years ago. 9 votes! All cast from Surrey-on-Kent or some such exotic hamlet. In the non-erotic category!

Do you really think you’re fooling anyone?

And from what I’ve had whispered in my ear by an informed palace insider you’re now hard at work on an “Other Language” story. As is db, the dumb Texan and ace (if he finds time in his heavy Halloween story schedule). The plan is for another 4 way tie!

I mean how humorous is this one? One idiot didn’t vote for his story or we’d have had a five way tie!

2010 Best Other Language Story:

** FOUR WAY TIE!! **

DAIVI SAMBHOG 02 / vantyaak 1 vote
- AND -
सख्खी शेजारीण (Marathi) / vickyvicky 1 vote
- AND -
என் புருஷன் என் அம்மாவு / Prasa 1 vote
- AND -
ஐசக்கின் அட்டகாசங்கள் பகுதி 3!! / issacboob 1 vote

Also Nominated:
சக்கரைக்கட்டி.1 / chennai_rakshasan 0 vote

As per your line: ”Perhaps for the next year's contests we could have more publicity…” I must say I haven’t noticed any leadership on your part on the two threads listed below. This year LAUREL got 6 replies over 6 weeks (one made by herself and one a correction by db). I made two of them. Besides your truly only the brilliant septh and the less brilliant loverboy (out of the millions of literoticans) even made one constructive post for which we must thank them.

Where were you?

Most Influential Author Award

jaz’s victory pose..

I don’t know jazcullen. In fact I was under the impression (until I read this thread) that she was a he.

Nor have I read any of her works. And given that I believe that these many chaptered non-human stories shouldn’t even be allowed on the site I’m not likely too anytime soon.

But she does have to be given credit for her brilliant marketing efforts here. And not just during the contest. jaz not only won the MOST INFLUENTIAL AUTHOR award she also amassed more “favorite author” designations than any other author on the site over the last 12 months.

It’s always intrigued me over the years that the sites best, most aggressive and most ruthless marketers have been invariably women. jaz’s victory this year just continues a five or six year tradition of females winning the MOST INFLUENTIAL AUTHOR award – the danikat, sis serena, and soular all have preceded her.

While none of them could ever be counted among my friends I always respected the fact that they’d do anything to achieve their goals. All of them would do anything it took it get them where they wanted to go. They were fighters. They embody the old “survival of the fittest” American capitalist dream. It’s hard not to hope for their success.

Meanwhile our male authors, who’d one expect to be the more aggressive, have never been able to match the ferocity of our women.

I think its due to the fact that so many of our male authors (certainly AHland regulars) are now so far past their prime. While AHland has old babes they also have the young hungry ones. But AHland has almost no young male bucks to balance the old boys. I’m guessing their out in the real world doing their thing.

So, while I was hoping aw2 was going to win the prize this year, I quite willingly congratulate the jaz.

Ok, now that I’ve done that will you please take your effing non human stories and eff right off…

Or, ummm, maybe it's because most of the male authors don't give a shit about a contest on a free-use site that has all of the control and integrity of a sieve.

If the ambitious marketeers like Dannikat and Serenakitt thought that continuing to play this dance here would sell copies of their books, they'd still be trying to dance the dance here. They're not. Maybe they woke up at some point.

Thank D_Lynn, DGHear, sethp and Syd. I have fun editing and it's nice to know people think I do a good job. Congrats, Mr. Hear and to oggbashan, too. :)

You deserve the win. There is nobody more deserving.
