So, Obama spends trillions and adds to the deficit to protect the constituancies that support him in the elections (public and private unions, green energy crony's, trial lawyers) against the recession while everyone else takes a big hit and now he says "We have to keep up this level of spending in support of my friends and so we're going to tax you more". No thanks. Trim the spending instead and spend only what we need to spend and bring spending back in line with traditional levels of spending.

Cept traditional spending (depending on where one defines traditional.) has added to the debt ever since we cut taxes. If the almighty Reagan couldn't do it what hope to mere mortals have of accomplishing this dream.

And yeah cut every single dime of Obama's spending over Bush and we'd still have a terribly similar problem. Sure 14 Trillion is bigger than 10 Trillion but if you can solve a 10 trillion dollar problem you can probably solve a 14 trillion dollar problem.
