Finding stories no longer on site?

I've read the sticky about searching for stories, however there is a particular story I'm trying to track down and it seems to have disappeared.

I'm fairly sure it was called something like 'Portuguese Surprise' and was in the NonConsent/Reluctance stories (although it was really more of a Loving Wives story in my view).

It concerned a couple on holiday who go to a small local club, where the wife is separated from the husband by an older local guy and ends-up screwing him and a couple of others.

Would there be anywhere this may be archived?

Q & A

I would say, for anyone who thinks the story they're looking for, has disappeared, ask about it in the Q&A section.

You've googled?

Yes, stories get pulled from the site occasionally. I didn't find anything by title elements anywhere. Good luck in finding it.

Yep, but not having much luck. It's a shame if the author took it down. I never understand why they do that.

I've pulled a few stories down because I published them as e-books and my publisher did not want them available for free when they were for sale. Others may have a different view, or terms, and that's fine. Also, I think some authors take them down because they feel they aren't good, or good enough, perhaps compared to later efforts. So there are reasons for authors to remove stories.

Some take them down because they didn't hide who the stories were about well enough, and their living characters found out about them. :D

Some remove stories off the website to drop off the net then they regret it and spend a month or two submitting them all over again.

Are you familiar with the Wayback Machine? It's an archive of old web pages, and old versions of current web pages.

http://www.archive.org/web/web.php

You can't do a Google-like keyword search of the Wayback Machine archive, you can only search for specific URL's. Assuming you know the author of the story, see if that author's index page has been archived, and if one of the archived author pages points to the archived story.

If you don't know the author, the Wayback Machine won't help.

Sadly, I don't recall the author. It's been a few years now since I last saw the story on here. I've been coming here for 8 years now and, though some authors definitely stick in my memory, this one didn't.
