Interesting study done not too long ago. It took a bunch of 4yr olds, randomly divided them into two groups, one that received preschool 2 hrs a day, 5 days a week and one that didn't. They then tossed both sets into the public school, let them grow up and 40 years later...looked to see if there were any differences. The random group that went to preschool significantly had higher grad rates, went to college, had an average income of 30,000/year more, had less issues with the law, less problems with drugs and on and on. Ask the GOP and Head Start funding should be cut.

Same thing happens here. Study after study shows that if the school provides breakfast and lunch to all children, they do better. Is it not better to invest in a dollar a day today so you don't have to invest in hundreds later? Nope...not according to stupid people.
