As for daus's thread, I don't understand why it would be deleted, it was a thread for art :confused:

I think most of it is people making complaints to mods. I know that is was happened to me a couple of years ago. They told me to delete any pics that violated the rules, but wouldn't really explain what violated the rules. So I spent 8 hours removing any pic that I thought violated the rules.
On your art thread, I wouldn't have know what pic violated the rules, they still expect you to sort it out though :cool:

I asked if they received a complaint and received this:

I then thanked him for his diligence in policing the site and asked if he planned on enforcing the rule with the dozen other threads that are not in compliance.
- No response to this..... which is an answer itself. My estimation is more than 3/4 of the photos on Lit do not have permission to post and there lies the absurdity. Next time I'll ask the unknown Greek and Roman sculptors if they mind me posting a photo of their work. :rolleyes:

The thread was up for years with many followers. I'm not whining but simply pointing out the hypocrisy- hence the title. I'm not trying to bring down any other threads but I'm not taking it lightly.
