Lit on facebook

Go look you guys, I just posted a REAL Playboy Playmate that I took at the horse stables at Chateau Elan here in Georgia (US)

Only 3,817 people like this page. Next year I would have been a member for 10 years.

Most of my facebook friends want to keep their Lit life away from their facebook page.

Just like with my photography, I keep my personal life away from it. That's why I use an alias. Models and other people in that industry use alias also, because facebook is very well the biggest networking machine.

True. My business does well on facebook.

A lot of people have their parents as facebook friends and I have to keep that in mind when I comment on their status.

Back in the day when Myspace was new, I was amazed by how people who were incredibly careful about about first names and home towns on Lit, used the same face pics as lit, right beside their full name and city.

Well, I think its cool to use an alias as long as you don't forget what your real name is. I don't worry about family memebers, I love the artistic and creative nature of using an alias :)

I have a "real name" facebook page, and a Stella Omega page. I'm starting to think it's more trouble than it's worth, honestly. But...maybe not.

I agree with BlackSnake. I have no desire to mix my every day life with facebook account. I don't refer to what I do on facebook as my online life and I don't refer to my everyday life as my RL. I'm simply me in both areas. I just get more of what I want from my facebook account.
I don’t do it because I’m shame or because of dual personas. I actually use my name instead of my LIT name. I don't accept friend requests from locals or every day friends. I don’t want to deal with the menial day to day happenings with my every day acqaintances. What do I care how your dinner came out or what you ate? I talk to most of the people that I want to know locally in person. I do have 3 very close friends on my facebook because they share interesting points of view. Only one lives in my town. I use my Facebook account to meet knew people, share unique experiences and different points of views. I get to meet other writers all over the world. I can be totally honest about views, not that I lie or pretend in my everyday life. I can have reasonable debates on facebook. No arguing with my mother or having someone I don’t even bother with when I see them in the grocery store give me their Christian influenced opinion. If you put my name in I won’t come up. I pick and choose my friends. I like it that way and I enjoy Facebook.

Umm friend? This is a porn site with a shitload of erotic and hardcore photo threads, never mind the million plus porn sites out there. Pictures of some playboy centerfolds are not overly enticing these days.

And no body, no matter how hot it is, will lower me to the heard mentality of social networking.
