Thankfully, the rollercoaster week is over.

It started out with our wedding anniversary. I suspected that I would have a hard time with it - and I was right. Even though our marriage was over years ago, and even though I know that we are both happier with the path we've agreed on - I still couldn't help but feel the loss. 19 years is a long time - even if more than half of them were spent as caregiver rather than wife.

But all went smoothly after that - felt a bit better each day. By the time I jumped - I was ready for a fresh break. And I got it!

I agree, it probably was prudent to take them down because of the location. Who knows what nutcase out there (read: anal retentive bible thumpers) would take offense for some god-knows out-in-left-field reason. These are the same folks we fight against every day, trying to change the unreasonable and defend ourselves against their insanity at the same time.
