I was thinking of going to a gay bathhouse, but are they safe? I mean, I know the standard safe sex procedures, like use a condom, etc. But are they still safe after that? Or are they a breeding ground for STDs (no offense to anybody who uses them, I honestly don't know)?

I have heard of bathhouses that require memberships, and full doctor screening before they allow you in.
Not sure where, but I have heard they exist. Then again... they could be a myth like bigfoot.

the one I have checked out in the Detroit area, has specific rules regarding safe sex. Weather they are followed or not is another story. From what I have read on other sites, this Bath house is very clean, discrete, keeps a low profile and has had no run in's with the law... for a curious MWM, well, curious again, this was just a thought. I don't think Ill be making any trips there. Have to make do with squirt dot org, and see if I can make a good hook up with another curious MM...

guys, here is the deal on bath houses, at least the ones that i know of (i used to go about 2 - 3 times a year)

That might be hard to find. Of course, the ones I've seen aren't anything impressive, anyway. They really don't look any different than the mens' lockerroom at the gym.
I've also been to places that have unofficial sex rooms, as well. They're even less impressive looking. They tend to be painted in one color and have a chair or sofa and a tv, playing porn.
I have been to baths that were seedy dives where I left after only 15 minutes. I have been to others that were clean, well maintained places that felt like a nice spa with sex.
