The growing disparity between the rich and the poor is a function of many things, including the inefficient re-distribution of profits - and not accumulated wealth - as a result of a skewed tax code (personal and corporate), the purview of which is the government's (democratic, republican, whichever) over successive Administrations.

You need an education in economics, it is not the function of our government to determine economic outcomes. The free market is the most efficient engine for the allocation of goods and services, to the extent that government attempts, through the application of command order policies, to alter economic outcomes, economies and liberty are destroyed.
