What happened to all of the doom and gloom economic threads?

According to your buddy RightField, The Republicans were running the best ship we ever had. Everyone had jobs, money was flowing like water, people had tons of credit and were happy and spending and buying so much stuff. There was no healthcare reform, no huge deficit, no economic crash, no bailout of the financial and auto sector. No gloom and doom, the future was looking bright. The rich got richer, the poor and middle class stayed right where they were and didn't complain. Everything was perfect.

What happened? What did the Republicans do to make people not see or forget how good they had it under their auspices? Why didn't the good times continue if everything was in perfect equilibrium thanks to the Republicans?

If things were perfect, they should still be in power, doing what was "right." It just doesn't make sense.

I'm talking about that Democratic Congress the American people voted in the last decade that fucked up everything! Everything was perfect up until then! We had low unemployment everyone had jobs and rich people got richer and people kept spending money on shit because they were happy!

Why didn't the American people keep the same people in that made things so good in the 2000's? What did the Republicans do to make people forget literally overnight on voting day about all the good things that was going on then because of them? If everything was going well under their absolute leadership, nobody should've voted for anything different, right?

It just doesn't make sense, I tell you!

What did Bush and minority Republicans do to help the economy while the dems were in control?

Corporate bailouts! But as we all know from listening to your right wing media and the Republicans in office, no Republicans were involved in the bailouts, right?

Except John Boehner and the vast majority of Repubs in both the House and Senate voted for the bailouts. They just pretend now like they didn't. Even though they worked and saved the financial sector and the larger economy from total collapse, in all their base-pandering dumbshittery they pretend like it never happened.

So since Republicans aren't taking any credit for that, preferring to lie about their own record, let's not mention it. What else did the Repubs do in the last 2 Bush years to help the economy?

Bush got us into two wars. Mainly, it was Iraq that brought him down. Thats why the rush to vote Democrap
