What happened to all of the doom and gloom economic threads?

lets see, obama hate the private sector.

due to obama bullshit, the private sector added a massive 38,000 jobs.

awesome!

Yes in May alone it was +38,000 jobs. February added 192,000 jobs, March put on 216,000, and April gave us another 177,000 jobs. Listening to you and the masses of righties who are praying America fails, you'd think we were still at -600,000 per MONTH when Bush was in office.

I mean, I heard that +38,000 is better than -600,000. Or maybe it's just my "liberal math" that says that. And let's not talk about the quarter of solid job growth we just had before that since you like to pretend none of it ever happened.

We were creating jobs when Bush was in the White House and the Republicans had control of Congress. It was only when the Democrats took over the House and started spending wildly that we started losing so many jobs.

So... That's all you've got? How many times are you going to get wrecked before you realize you're just making things up?

Unfortunately the number of jobs created under Bush failed to even keep up with the population increase during that time. And the average pay of jobs decreased. And benefits decreased.

I know, we could have done so much better than 4.6% unemployment. It makes one wonder why we didn't embrace these democratic approaches earlier and had 9% unemployment the whole way through.

Something's not making sense.

If life was so perfect for everybody in America while the Republicans had total control, nobody would have seen fit to vote Democrats back in office to fuck things up, right?

What happened with that? Why did people stop believing in Republicans back when things were going so swell for everyone?

Yes because 6-8 years of Republican policy had absolutely nothing to do with the economic collapse that followed. There's no way that most of a decade of right wing rule could have ever influenced anything.

grow up, stop playing party lines. they both are guilty

Think they're going to answer this? Oh wait, it was the LAME STREAM media's fault.

The 2006 United States midterm elections were held on Tuesday, November 7, 2006. All United States House of Representatives seats and one third of the United States Senate seats were contested in this election, as well as 36 state governorships, many state legislatures, four territorial legislatures and many state and local races. The election resulted in a sweeping victory for the Democratic Party which captured the House of Representatives, the Senate, and a majority of governorships and state legislatures from the Republican Party.

If Republicans were doing so well why did America kick them out of office?

So why did America give the Repubs the boot if their policies were doing so well?

Why are you both morbidly afraid to answer this question. After all it's perfectly fair.

simple, Bush started to wars
thanks to clinton, and his fantasy every america has a right to own a house

the economy slowed down, markets crashed

obama is still screwing things, hence home prices are still going down (at least with Clinton, only Monica went down)

Let me refresh your memory. The Republicans weren't doing so hot when it came to spending. The Democrats promised they were fiscal hawks.
Only God knows why the voters believed them.
