It's 2.6 deg here at the moment, heading toward minus 3.
Winter is definitely here.
I think we'll get snow here this year if this keeps up!

I'll stop complaining about my double figures over here then!

Although I grew up In Ballarat, so i am familiar with ridiculously cold :)

Cold? Back in my day...

Well, not really - at 31 I dont thin Im old enough to have a 'back in my day', but I do have a 'back in my country' instead. Just moved to melbourne from NZ last week and I am finding the temperature here very pleasant, although currently awaiting the arrival of my furniture so my house definitely feels a little cold and empty at the moment!

LOL Melbourne is like living in the top of the north island I'm told. It could be a lot worse you could be in Canberra now that is a miserable place.

My wife is a Kiwi but been here for 7 years now so she feels the cold here like the rest of us but her daughter is visiting & wearing T shirts & shorts while we are rugged up.

With your aches & pains your the one who should be in Darwin enjoying the warmth.

oh, hell NO!
I did the Darwin thing for a little over a year - there really is nothing on this earth that could make me go back and live there again.
I don't mind the cold, it's nice to have seasons.
Besides, I have a great fireplace and two boys to keep it going :D

I moved over here from Perth.
Can't say I miss the windy, rainy cold that Perth gets.
Here, it's generally light drizzle with no wind - much easier to deal with.
Most times, even when it's raining, I don't even need a brolly or coat!

welcome to oz :)
you moved here for work?
I have yet to go visit NZ - it's the one place in the world I haven't been to.
I'm told it's a lot like tassie, so I should be able to handle the cold when i go.

I love Melbourne. I get over there a few times a year.
Cheap from here!
In fact, I'll be passing thro again in a couple of weeks on my way to Kangaroo Is in S.A.

It's

Where we live seems to miss a lot of the worst weather but Sydney has been getting a drenching although we have stayed dry.

like that everywhere , here in the the states Florida on the coast no rain in almost two months and can't afford to water !

We got pleanty of water/ rain but not the heavy downpours other places are getting.

My, my, thank you Elfie boy. Wish it was 46 years. Slightly more than that. Could actually still do the splits until about 3 years ago. Just wasn't pretty trying to stand afterwards, but technically, could do them.

Oh, and yes, the bedhead touching is done face up....not that flexible as to do an almost complete 360o with the spine. Damn, aching just writing that.

Just received my new leather corset, so hoping that will give a little more support to the spine...never know, might be able to do the touching whilst on my stomach yet.. Anyone who misbehaves shall get a photo of me in it as punishment....laughs.

Well Ms Moon I was going to put down a larger number, but since I'm the gentleman I am, I became conservative. A woman is only as old as I feel they are. Sometimes it takes a couple of feels :D

Well since you are that flexible, you either have a circus act you can take on the road or you could set up your own internet site....

Now why do you insist on leather corsets in your climate, I thought something more breathable would be better or do you just like the feel of leather on your nipples? Yep a pic of you in your new corset I believe would be required..now all I need is a reason to misbehave...then again I don't really need a reason.

To use the hoary old chestnut....depends how willing Dawn is....groans...yes I know. Bad joke.

Good heavens, I am in agreeance with you. Look it takes enough to make me camp in the wilds of Queensland, where the most is a pervy heavy breather (bad, if not amusing incidence in Canberra one year) ....snakes and crocs aside, so not going to be comparing bear prints in Canada. Besides, sure the folks at the Hilton, Sheraton et al, will deal with the bears for me.

The room in question that had no airconditioning was a fab hotel in Wellington, New Zealand. Everything was so great there, but bizarrely, no air conditioning. I could understand in a B&B or like, but this was a 4.5 star hotel. Odd.

Mmm ice on nipples....very nice. But do hope you are not limited in your geographic preferences there. I have a bent for ice in shall we say, less open spaces?:devil:

I think you need to leave the clever jokes to someone else....what you should of said was..."well I tried to get up at the crack of dawn, but she turned over"....you need to think quicker on your feet...but I suppose that would be difficult to do with your toes touching the head board face up :D

Now when I mentioned camping in Canada I didn't mean camping out at the local bar alongside a heavy breather...as for the crocs and snakes at the bar...well you did mention Qld....we need say no more....

That hotel in Wellington does sound odd. Even the hotels in Queenstown have air cons, and it snows in that place. I have also discovered in my travels in various off shore locations that not all Hilton hotels of the same rating are the same. It seems to depend on the location.

Nope I am not limited to the northern hills when it comes to ice...Have ice will travel...No GPS required :D

New Aussie here just popping in to say hi :)

Also to see if I got my avatar to work.

First time I've seen anyone popping out whilst they were popping in...I wonder if I wait long enough will the other one pop as well?

Welcome to you and your popper!

Love the small town life, couldn't think of anywhere better. Well apart from somewhere I could get fucked without repercussions lol.

Now I wouldn't say that too loud around here otherwise you could get lots of addresses where you could get fucked....location, location location :D

I was going to say it was really cold in Melbourne but nope, we didn't get -3, maybe minus something in the outer suburbs, still cold enough though.

Evening all,

Welcome to the new people. As Gil has said we are a friendly bunch here so throw another politician on the fire and pull up a seat.

Still enjoying driving to work and with these colder mornings it is even better to be sitting in a nice warm car...especially when looking across to those PT travellers all squished in the trams...

I heard the Qld's complaining about the cold...apparently it got down to 26..the poor little things...I may have to go out and buy them some gloves and beanies

Hehe, consider Mr Abbott added to the fire, i'm hoping he burns well, doesn't seem to be much use for him otherwise :)

I just got home from a very long day, which included 9 out of 11 people failing a test, the teacher responsible being yelled at rather publicly by a senior assessor & the whole 4 day course starting again for all except the 2 of us that passed.

welcome to oz :)
