you injected a perfectly gorgeous cut of prime beef?!?
I would have it seared, rare to blue, with a red wine joue (sp).

I wouldn't exactly call her that.....:D but the steaks are great! No rare beef for me, you have to kill the steroids and antibiotics in it here.... I try to buy from the Amish, good grass fed beef.

Your so right & it is offensive the fast food giants advertise their crap food as being healthy.
John Howard screwed up big time getting rid of the "Truth in advertising" law.:confused:

I' m lucky - my kids hate fast food.
Or it could just be that I'm an awesome cook
i think we have fast food maybe 4 times a year - and then the kids choose vietnamese or thai takeout.

the Amish don't use chemicals, surely?
Or antibiotics?
As I'm living on a farm now, all my meat is organic :)

I had a fantastic rump steak in Eugene Oregon back in 1995 that I still have dreams about it was cooked just the way i like medium well done, it was huge but I got my meal free as they said I wouldn't be able to finish it....... i did.

we have a restaurant close by that does an 18 ounce t-bone.
Same deal - if you finish it, your meal is free. But you also have to finish all the fries and salad that comes with it!

WOW mine was large but wasn't as think as that one & I guess I would be paying for the meal there as no way I could have done that beast in actually now it's about the steak is the size of my palm these days, damn I hate being sensibly.

I doubt but very few could eat 4 pounds of meat. I tend to like the smaller strips and sirloins, that leaves room for baked spuds....:D

Wow how we have been getting some strange weather with the big chill in Eastern Aussie with Canberra again having over night -3 Temp & regular minus temps there in Autumn/ Fall & it is only 8.3C or 47F at 8am here

It's already 8C here. Looks like it will be around 16 today, which is quite warm.
Once I start moving around - and I have a few things to get done - I'll probably only need a light long-sleeved teeshirt.
You're having tassie weather!

Yup - I was camping out not far from Goulbourn all weekend. Brass Monkey weather indeed - lovely crisp clear sunny days, but overnight down to -5 in the tent. Even as early as 10pm the water had become ice. Could have done with a nice warm lady bod to snuggle up with, alas.

Morning news say it's -8C down there this morning, real brass monkey temps.

Back in the 80s I ran a NSW state title down there & had a bad race meeting damaging the car but the horror came that night when heading to bed in a tent, I've hated the cold ever since.

there's nothing worse than spending a freezing night in a tent.
i learned this lesson a long time ago - and now own an arctic-rated sleeping bag.
cost an absolute bomb, but damn it's been worth it!

Bout time you dropped by Mz Moon.

I used to love packing up my bike & spinning a bottle then heading off in that direction for a weekend get away, no planning just go north, south or west, no east as I lived at a beach side suburb then.:D
