Socialism

about you making more wildly innacurate claims? or about China continung to grow as an economic superpower?

both are inevitably going to happen

did you catch the article, that France handed over their nuke technology and now they fear the competition? in 5 years China will put the French out of the nuke biz - well except for France

maybe Fox & CNBC appreciate Capitalism, MSNBC - well they use to want more obamaism but they are starting to come around.

most of the media are socialism in nature, they do not appreciate or worship self employed people. they want more government

what are you watching, or please pass the drugs (that you are on)

I was about to ask you that same question, what drugs you are on? You realize that CNBC and MSNBC are owned by the same company, right? You realize that the NBC-Universal story is capitalism at it's finest right? That this is a multi-billion dollar company owned by GE and Comcast?

Where are you getting they want more government and that they are more socialist in nature? From the same place busybody gets that they have liberal bias? If so then you really do live in fantasy land.

The media adores capitalism. In the news as well as entertainment, it's all about what SELLS. They follow stories they know will get high ratings and MORE advertising dollars. They could fucking give a damn about who they hurt in the process. They don't care if the subject of the story is liberal or conservative. They just care that a company is going to pay $1,000,000 to advertise while it's being shown because they know there will be a high audience watching.

I can't see how they would want more government when the media is constantly fighting with the arm of the government that regulates it ( the FCC).

Sounds like there is some confusion about what socialism is about?

How's this for a definition of Socialism. (H/t to Das Kapital by Karl somebody-or-other.)

Socialism is when 30 percent of your national economy is nationalized in the dead of night by a procedural vote strictly along party lines based upon a bill that no one has read. Naturally the greedy bourgeois are against it, but soon enough their numbers will be thinned to an insignificant minority.

Socialism is when the federal government nationalizes the nation's largest automotive manufacturer and unilaterally dissolves its debts to selected creditors, while honoring those of the glorious workers, who now finally own the means of production. Note to Obama: hire Diego Rivera or Irezumi to do an epic mural of glorious government motor workers waving their lifetime pension entitlements at full wage (adjusted for inflation) in Soviet Realism style.

Socialism is government picking the winners and losers in the economy so that everyone is beholden to the favor of the government. Those who lick booty the best are most likely to curry favor, but nothing is ever certain.

Socialism is selective enforcement of the rule of law. Socialist government often issue thousands of waivers from their most economically onerous mandates to friends as party favors. Wheee! See government picking economic winners and losers above.

Socialism requires proletariat masses otherwise there is no way to wage proper class warfare. What? You got no stinkin' proletariat masses? Fine. Open the borders, you'll have one soon enough.

Socialism creeps at first. Then comes the revolution to establish a dictatorship of the proletariat in order to purge society of the rich and spreads their gold fillings, hair, eye-glasses and other wealth around. Obama explained Karl's theory to Joe the Plumber but he left out the pogrom bit. Pfft. Details.

Next post we'll visit Cambodia to see how Socialism worked out for those nice folks :)

Then all my employees will be, well, unemployed. I'll be the last to go.

This truly ranks among your most ignorant posts.

Ishmael
I'm ignorant when your own statement just proved my point, that YOU will be out of a job? Wow. I must be really dumb then.

Alright. That's it.

I'm giving you ding-dongs just ten more pages to resolve this bitch and then I close the thread.

yes, same company but as similiar as night and day.

msnbc - talks about how bad capitalism is
cnbc - talks about the market and great leaders (and how obama is f'ing up the world)

ironic

also, obama newest czar just came from GE  interesing (was that an obama kick back?)?

and to sum it up, cnbc vertical market segment
msnbc - 4 the mentally retarded market segment

Alright show me your evidence. I need video and remember context matters. I'll be looking to see if something taken out of context. It's time to put up or shut up Jen. Prove your point.

I'm going out to enjoy my life right now. When I get back we'll see if you really believe all this and can dig it up or if you really are some mindless conservative drone as you've been accused of before.

So it is a dirty word because it threatens the US's beloved but malignant capitalism and evokes the hated 'other' ways of living?

Yep!

God Damn. Just read this thread and Irezumi and the other socialists here are *cut out the rest of your blathering look-at-me crap for brevity's sake*

So you think I and others here are socialists because we're pointing out how people (right wingers looking for a nut) are using and exploiting the term disingenuously as this season's monster in the closet?

Even Williamsburg hipsters can't touch this level of irony. :D

Guy, I appreciate your appreciation of my craft, but please just STFU about everything else you're woefully off the mark over and sit back and enjoy being a right wing bisexual male and the liberal freedoms you exploit that allow you to indulge in the lingam-lustatopia of choice as your fellow right-wingers will never ever stand by you and your swing-both-ways sexual orientation openly — when you're about the cock rather than the pussy, that is. And if you think this is me being subtly homophobic towards you, it ain't. Just giving you a return-to-sender letter on your misunderestimated strategerie about artists and shit.

Now, there's an interesting spin. "If da gubnan't done be gibbin' us da money, dey mus be da gustapo."

How about "Da mo dey gib ya, da mo dey be stickin der nose in yo biznes?"

Ishmael

Whatever it was that you tried to sound like here — and I know what you tried to sound like — just stop.

It's working for you about as much as your cooked-noodle dick did when you tried to have sex with a special somebody from this board.

This post would be a whole lot more interesting if you defined socialism first. Until you've done that, what you've posted is just someone running through a museum, pointing at paintings and shouting "Pornography!"

You may know it when you see it, but that's not sufficient criteria for the rest of us, unless you establish some sort of unshakeable credential first.

who taught you about socialism?

what are the first things you remember?

does that color your current definition?

A very excellent post example re: the ignorance of true capitalism.

A true capitalist medium would not even be doing business in the USSA today...

...its owner would have long ago refused to even deal with such statist control and bureaucracy.

A capitalist will not "play" in a socialist market just to grab whatever crumbs are available by dictate of the government...

...he'll go away and live his capitalist philosophy - sans socialist government-allowed "capitalism" - via totally different venues.

Money, itself, is not the foundational pillar of true capitalism...

...to do honest business with other individuals who treasure the philosophy of individual liberty is.

The "capitalism" you speak of is the bastard creation of the collective. It is currently most noticeably exemplified by Communist China...which is a good thing: as their socialist monetary philosophy saturates more into the - comparative - minor league socialist financial system of the USSA, the greedy media whoremongers you mention above will more and more feel the tyrannical whip of control, read, total state control (see GM).

The true capitalists of the United States of America today are either packing up or already on their individual ways to Galt's Gulch...

There's capitalism and everything else. But everything else is the same stuff packaged in a variety of containers with the same directions: 1. You labor, toil, and earn your daily bread BUT I GET TO EAT IT.

Actually, that's capitalism you're describing, or at least that's how Marx described it. See Marx' "labor theory of value."

God Damn. Just read this thread and Irezumi and the other socialists here are (were) kicking butt with cartoon propaganda. Makes me want to join my local collective hive mind and pogrom some jewish bankers then spread their gold dental fillings and wealth around to my mates.

Be careful there, you're mixing your metaphors.

Socialism and its variants are responsible for more deaths, murders, mass starvation, genocides, pogroms, torture, inquisition, forced-labour camps, environmental destruction, industrial accidents, shitty products, total human wastage and general bad boy behavior in the last century than all the other fucking asshole mass murders on the planet combined including Ghengis Khan, Cortez, Napoleon and Hitler, who by the way was...wait for it...A FUCKING SOCIALIST....

Wait, now. Before we take this thread off on yet another Nazism=socialism tangent, for the love of God, please, please stick a hot knife in your eye and post the video.

Allow me to translate what you said:

“blab la bla”

 Turning what I say into what you can understand is not "translation."

If you take a look at the whole, I’m sure America has fallen. Why?

No reason. America has not fallen. Our GDP rises every year. We have "fallen" only in the sense that other countries have been catching up to us.

Now, if you want to live in the past, your post about list of countries (didn't read it yet) is the past.

 No, it is a list of how countries including the U.S. are performing economically now.

where will America be after the obama Regime is finished with their destructive work?

Richer.

Let’s say that the supreme obama takes hold, and we get more people committing treason against America. USA adopts more socialism.

 . . . Jen, are we having a psychotic break here, or branching out into Dadaism? Up to now, you have at least appeared to grasp the concept that one clause in a sentence should bear some sort of relation to the next.

People like me will adapt and play that game. What will YOU bitch about then? How wrong socialism is, and only the political elite reap the rewards?

. . . Jen . . . I hate to break this to you . . . You are Sarah Palin's retarded cousin. There never has been and there never will be any political order in human history in which the "political elite" would have included you unless you had been born into it.

Now, if you want to live in 1910 with no luxuries, or innovations . . .

Then it would be a world just waiting for the Bolshevik Revolution, wouldn't it?

the real question, why is your heart black and filled with hate? what went wrong with you?

""What makes a man turn neutral ... Lust for gold? Power? Or were you just born with a heart full of neutrality?"

- Zapp Brannigan

Hint: Not socialists.

Oh, what bullshit! American and British capitalists were slavering to do biz with the new Soviet Union as soon as their governments would let them! Business has no vested interest in any political system as such. A true capitalist, in the sense you are using the phrase, adapts to the business environment he finds. If it's heavily regulated, he deals with that, so long as the regulations don't entirely erase his profit margin.
