Take a tour of the Armory in the Mission District. It's an old castle size building in old San Francisco. It was built as an arsenal and armory for the National Guard in the early 1900s to replace the one that was destroyed in the earthquake in 1906. The exterior walls are over 15 feet thick.

For years, it was left vacant, and becoming an eye sore as decay slowly took over. But it's on the National Registry of Historic Buildings so it was always something people wanted to see fixed up and used by someone.

The place is so huge, interior scenes of the original Star Wars movie was filmed inside and the Mission Creek flows through the basement (hence the name of the district). There have also been parts of the building used by various companies during the years, but the whole structure continued its decline.

Then, in 2006, the owner of Kink.com purchased the building. It was seen as a rather unpopular purchase by some of the local people, but it has really been a love/hate relationship because they have fixed the place up. If you've seen any of the kink.com videos, you have seen the inside of the Armory.

The inside wasn't changed that much, as Kink said it pretty much suited their needs. But they have brought life back to the old lady and that's something I liked seeing. I love old buildings and those with great history are special.

The tour will take you through the building, explaining history and such, showing the fantastic architecture of the place. I forget what the tour cost, but you need to make sure you go when something is going on. I think that is usually during the week. I think weekends are days when everybody takes off and although you will still see the building itself, if you go when scenes are being filmed, you will get to watch some of the behind the scene stuff.

Kink has made it into a production house for their videos and so that part of the tour is fascinating, if you're into kink.com stuff. But, even if you don't care for any of that, leave the kids at home and take the tour. The Armory is a great place of old history.

Hey, I thought I would bump this thread and see if anybody else had other suggestions. I'll be working in the bay area for the summer time and it would be nice to visit cool/ kinky places like the OP wants to do.

I do have the Armory on my list. Anything else?

Intriguing -- can someone who has attended PM me more details about the Power Exchange. Or, at least, PM me so I might pose some questions about your experience(s)?

I don't do PMs, but I would be more than happy to answer any questions you might have here in public.

:)

I'm mostly wondering how obligated one is to take part there. I may want to be a bit more of a voyeur, yet I don't want that to ruffle any feathers, potentially...

From what I remember, voyeurism is negotiated just as active participation is.

DO platonic conversations take place, or should work under the assumption (though not act until said assumption is explicitly confirmed) that conversation is meant as a stepping stone to something more on the premises?

Also, as far as you know, do people ever go as a fake couple to get in the door more cheaply AND access the Couples Only floor?

Serriously dude, there's no need to bump a thread less than an hour after your question. Settle down, and when HM has time, she'll respond to your post.

And given that you were so rude as to PM me after I specifically said I do NOT do PMs, I really am not inclined to answer you at all.

I will say that if you are as pushy and rude at the P.E, as you are here, you will not receive a warm reception and will probably be asked to leave.

Did it even start with "Now, I know you said no PMs, but..." ?

:D
