Yeah, I have an issue with emotional anchor women who wear their emotions on their sleeves and pass it on as News...so what?
Yes, call me a troglodyte, a change from dinosaur, my usual fare, for I am surely outdated, old fashioned and I cling to a concept of 'objectivity' which seems to be an alien term to most.
Perhaps I am alone in my thoughts; if so, what the fuck, they are my thoughts, take them or leave them, but I sicken at the puppy dog eyes and facial expressions of female reporters who emote as they deliver what they seem to think is the 'news'.
I am also perturbed by the increasing number of 'British' or Australian speaking Newscasters, male and female, on American television, and the emergence of Asian and Indian announcers, as if to 'internationalize' American newscasting.
Yeah, I know, a global community...fuck you...and the Alpaca you rode in on.
I presented newscasts for half my life on radio and television and never did I 'emote' what I read, regardless of how tragic or humorous it might have been; I was hired to deliver the News, not perform it.
Maybe it's just the times...if so, in the words of Ricky Nelson, "I'd rather drive a truck" (Garden Party) for the uninformed.
