Head support

My sub playmate and I have been discussing certain positions that would require her to be bound and have her head supported so that her neck muscles don't get tired trying to hold it up.

I'm not talking about suspended positions. one she would be bent over forward, but have to have her head held so that her face was somewhat up. The other she would be in a swing leaning back.

The only way to do this that I've found online are hoods, which I don't really want, and tying rope to her hair. Are there other ways I could use to support her head in one position for a long period of time?

Thanks for the chuckle. No, she would not approve. She's not shy, just protective of her reputation and I honor that. I could always post the "contraption" that I put together over a weekend in December, but it's not something she'll be restrained to this time.

Sir Winston's comment may have been facetious, but in fact, pictures would help.

If you're talking about a pillory or stocks, a padded shelf below the neck hole could support the head, face, or chin.

You said no hooks, but a head harness, with or without the gag, a D ring at the back and a strap going to an anal hook would work just fine. Or, if you prefer no anal hooks, there are body harnesses that work the same way, relieving the neck from a lot of the work of keeping the head up.

But, nothing by itself will relieve all of the work the neck does in keeping the head up. A harness will help and a posture collar will help, as well as the anal hook thing I just mentioned. But, if you want true relief from the neck doing any work at all, it will be expensive. Even with most kinds of strict bondage, the neck is still doing some of the work at keeping the head up.

And the more you get involved in strict bondage collars, harnesses and such, your pocketbook will feel it. You can really get into a lot of money. And I'm talking several hundreds of dollars.

You'd be better off using some kind of horse or bench that allows for the support of the upper body. That way, she can relax her neck muscles and stay in position a lot longer. A happy submissive is a willing to serve submissive, if you know what I mean.

You could also probably have something made to order by a corset maker. Or, maybe something like this would work?
