How many of you have gotten close on line with another woman and went on to meet her IRL? Did it live up to the fantasy or did it spoil things for your online fun? Hi Erica - How exciting for you! And how awesome that your husband is supportive of you. I would just advise that you try to be realistic about how your encounter might be. Fantasy and reality are often two very different things, but that doesn't mean that the reality can't be equally amazing. We have a tendancy to have things so built up in our minds that when something changes or doesn't go just the way we've imagined, we let that ruin the whole experience for us. Try not to let your expectations get in the way of the experience, and don't put too much pressure on her or on yourself. Just let it happen and enjoy!

....I had the oppurtunity to meet with a male friend of mine from here about 6 years ago, it was wonderful we lived out several fantasies...

have not met a lady from here yet, I am hoping to do so

I met my crush and it turned out to be one of the best things I could have done.

There is always a chance that the reality won't live up to the fantasy but I guess that is a chance that you take. As clio711 said there is always the tendency to over hype the meeting and then it does meet your expectations. Rest assured any doubts you have I'm sure she is also having. Enjoy the experience, you never know it might be everything you are dreaming it will be.

You will never know until you do. The hard part would be living with the regret that you never tried. Take a chance, it could lead the the most marvelous event in your life.

While I agree with the people saying "Go for it, it could be amazing!" I cannot stress enough how important it is to be safe. Please, please, for the first meeting at least, meet somewhere public, let people know where you are going and what time you're planning to get back...that sort of stuff. I'm sure you've heard it before but no one seems to have pointed it out on this thread.

That said, good luck! I hope it works out.
