Yes, life is like that at times. I'm staying in and safe. I don't have to shovel at all. The plowing and shoveling are done where I live. With the drifting we've had it will be awhile before my walk and even my garage is opened up. Not a problem. I don't have to go anywhere and like you mentioned I have all of the rest of the stuff I need.

Hope you don't have to shovel things out.

Well, I was woken this morning by my terrier who had to go out. When I went to the back door there was a 30" snow drift against it. Not good for a 12" dog. So there I was in my fleece boots and my robe, making a small 8' path for him to go out. Dang, that updraft blew snow right up my robe. I should have been smarter and put on some clothes first, but I don't think he could have waited much longer.

I mean....it is hot enough, but not enough to melt the 3rd biggest blizzard in Chicago history. If I though it would work I would have planted my ass on Lake Shore Drive and gotten all those stranded motorists out!!!!

Newer to the board...just south of the Wisconsin state line. Enjoying the snowday. I wonder how they are getting the snow totals? My yard is basically one gigantic drift. The 4ft tall fence in the back yard is basically covered. Soon I may strap on the headphones and venture out with a snow blower. Until then I will savor the snow day. Maybe even write some naughty stories.

Hi Knot ~ Well I can see if I can add you to their list. They have to take care of 16, buildings, all of the walks, garages, parking lots and roadway.

"They" is the yard care and plowing sevice hired by the owners of the place I live.
