Great anniversary today!

30 years ago today the Aussie cricket team bowled a legal underarm ball to the Kiwi batsman !
:D:D

ROFPML.

Sure it isn't the hole in the Ozone layer that is over Tassy?

We do have to go out today but it will be in the car with the aircan on then into the shops where the aircon is on then home & put the aircon on for us.

there is no longer a hole.
apparently it's closed up and gone.
there's some stuff about it on the US meteorological site as well as on google (i used to have the links but have cleaned out my computer since then and am too damn lazy to go look for it again!)

besides, today i've had rather a shock..... medical tests show i'm prediabetic.
we're not sure how this happened, given that i am anal about my nutrition (no sugars or fats, low GI diet and absolutely no sweets of any kind!), zero family history, and everything else shows i'm sickenlingly healthy for my age :(
apparently i'm missing certain enzymes that process my food, and that could have contributed... possibly a pancreatic issue that's been undetected for a while.
i'm back for more testing on friday (including that horrid glucose test where i have to fast and then drink that green sugar syrup stuff before having bloods and urine done).

We have been out to do the shopping with little problem at all with the heat & home with the aircon on now so the heat isn't a big worry to us at all.

I like winter, best time to hang around the fireplace......:D

I hope the initial results were wrong, I've been diabetic for 36 years & never head of this test but then again I found out the hard way after comming out of a 10 day coma.

What do you mean by bad result?

I have heard about "normal people showing higher than usual sugar levels after some tests is this it?

real careful with that sugar test not to scare you but have seen several pass out and it takes several hours to run the test , sugar will almost make you sick. Good luck .

It don't apply to me as I said I've been insulin dependant for 36years from day one, i was only questioning it for WQ's benifit.

We haven't heard from Xstatic who is up in QLD too & not as far north to worry about the cyclone but would like to hear if he has made it through the floods, his motorbike too.

Thank you for the information. I will make a note of that. Hope your day is going well hon.:)

All our morning news says this is a huge cyclone heading for Queensland & BANDIT:heart: & I are concerned for our friend Orlanth who lives right in line with it.

With his many health issues on top of this Orlanth is we hope one of the ones who have been flown out to safety with this category 5 !!!

Stay safe mate.

Oh my! We are just under a blizzard warning! Compared to the above posts, that is nothing.

Take care all down under.

Yes, I've been a very naughty boy - and a fairly lucky one too: no damage from the flooding to speak of (which in no way excuses my not speaking of it :) )

I am here

Good to hear from you again - and do what you have to to make sure you're still here after Yasi finishes playing with us!
