Do pierced nipples show through bras?

I saw a pic of a woman with rather large breasts that had her nipples pierced. It was the bar bell type that goes from side to side.

It got me to wondering if that shows through a bra?

That's complicated to answer. I too have large pierced breasts but I have hoops. Without a bra yes they show. With some bras they show.

That obviously depends entirely on the bra.

Some bras industrial strength "shaping bras" have pre-shaped cups that are you could stand on without deforming them and others have holes in the cups specifically to allow nipples and nipple jewelery to show through.

If I had to guess, I'd guess that about half of the nipple piercings I notice through clothing are noticed through a light bra or sports bra. But those I notice tend to be on females who dress so that they will be noticed, bra or not.

Yes, it definitely depends on the type of bra. Mine only show if I'm wearing thinner fabric, or lacy fabric. If I am going to be somewhere where I need to be more discreet, I wear more padded-cup lingerie.

I think so. I have rather large nipples and if I start smuggling sultanas (erect nipples in Aussie slang) it can be embarassing. I love those padded thing. I wish they'd have them when I was pregnant. All my pregnancy photos have visible nipple (they got up to 2/3 inch across when I was expecting).
