Has everyone already forgotten Question Mark?

I interact with Ish about as much as you anymore...

(I would not interact with you at all if you didn't interject yourself into every conversation the same way Throb does. I'd much rather ignore the both of you.)

I've spent more time talking to Reci and Byron than Ishmael.

Ad hominem by Circumstance (class).

Well, that's one benefit of your post count. You will actually respond. Not like all these slackers that make threads and then just wander off.

Yeah, but note, it's usually only my thread.

There are many, many shooter threads...

I'm pointing out that you have a tendency toward paranoia that is unjustified.

You're targeted not 'cause you're YOU but 'cause you say silly things. Then sometimes people phone it in and just attack you and not your argument.

But you've EARNED it, man.

Today's a snow day!

YEAH!!!!

Were did merc go after he hurled his psy-op bomb?

It's cold. Had to bring in my avocado plant for fear of freezage.

Other people might be off doing things. I should be, but I'm avoiding it for as long as possible.

I don't have to prove it, I've seen it during the last election cycle. You were supporting politicians who were suggesting armed uprising and egging on the idea with dire fears about the horrific future.

You're prone to violent rhetoric (and caps).

I don't consider you a danger to self or others, but what the hell do I know?

You can't point fingers at someone who is verbally crazy and decide that just putting them all away will solve the problems. It won't. All that means is that everyone's incarcerated due to their last slip of temper or philosophy in social company.

blah blah blah
I recall Teresa Kerry warning about riots if Bush got reelected in '04.
where was your outcry about that dire prediction ?

LOL, and when all else fails, there's always the false ad hominem accusation. :D

I can't implement "nut control."

As soon as I do, you would come out with 4,000 reasons of how misguided my actions were...

You're the "expert."

And that's the NUT of the problem... The well-intentioned experts and the civil liberties crowd.

It's the very thing that the iSlammers hide behind. Remember how the press came out of the woodwork to DEMAND that we use caution, reason, and tolerance in the Hassan case? His fellow mental health professionals covered for him knowing he was a ticking time bomb. What hope do we have with guys like Question Mark and Loughner?

One thing you could do (aside from advocating for controlling people in a very un-libertarian way), would be to advocate for sufficient mental health services.

I've been accused of attacking Sarah Palin ad hominem. But I don't like her based on her actions and words. That means I have an accumulated dislike of a person. Based on every comment, I can agree or disagree. If Sarah Palin says the sky is blue I can agree and not say "No it's not 'cause you've got bad hair!"

I can build up an accumulated knowledge of someone's wealth of reasoning skills and opinions whereby I don't expect them to make any new leaps of logic and would never consider them a source of good advice.

If they do though, I'll clap for them.

THIS...looks like a good time for schizophrenia awareness and additional research.

I've seen some good information on the news, which makes me happy.

With whose money?

Would you take it from AIDS funding*? Military funding? The VA? YOUR job???

We're BROKE man. Irrevocably BROKE!

Sufficient health services would have had these clowns in a ward, but the liberals decided that that was too cruel. We're stuck now in a sanitized world where we pretend that the insane can be productive members of society even when they go out of their way to prove they are not, one of the unintended consequences of liberal group-think. Until we cure the mindset, these people will continue to shoot people up be it in the name of Allah, Obama, Palin, or the fucking dog...

* good luck with that, that would be an open admission of homophobia ;) ;)

I just think this sort of thing should be more of a priority.

We're not irrevocably broke. We're in deep debt and it's going to be a pain in the ass where we cut the budget in reasonable places and take responsibility for it. But we've still got money to fund this versus say...the unbelievably bloated defense budget.

I'm not pretending they can be productive members of society. I'm saying they can at least be identified and people should be aware of how to do so and know where to go when they identify the state of acute schizophrenia. Same as people know to call 911 and they get assistance.

*chuckle*

I have to set a time and keep a schedule or I'd get lost in the game...

This is one of my days off. But by the end of the day I will have done a ridiculous amount of things.

I have more of a schedule on my work days, on my off days I just have a list of what must get done before sleep is attempted.

What do I keep saying about groups and group politics?

Cuts mean some "favored" group loses its benefits.

They will fight for their rights.

Politicians will cave.

Everyone thinks THEIR cause needs spending on it, today we need mental health spending, last year it was the environment, education, school lunches, breakfasts, dinners, Haiti, you name it and once you win your slice of the pie, you expect it to grow every year or you yell about draconian cuts and the angry rhetoric of the selfish right...

:(

(Third-person you, not you-you you yo-yos... )

Defining a sane budget is not impossible. It's just hard work.

I couldn't run a household budget if too much of it went toward frivolous, wasteful things. It's not unreasonable to expect a government to catch on to that.

I have no set goals on a snow day.

Long nap is a distinct possibility...
