I recall the thread about the journalist that was in hiding because of what she said/wrote about the pedophile prophet mohammad. Many on GB said she deserved to be in hiding because she knew that the muslims would be after her ahead of time (I guess they were saying she invited it).

As with the Columbine massacre -- the politics, if any, of shooters or victims are irrelevant to the important lesson, which is that it would not have happened at all, if it had been just a little bit more difficult for two emotionally disturbed teenagers to amass a small arsenal of automatic weapons, ammo and explosives without some responsible adult finding out about it.
And some few might say that too, in heated moments -- there is no contradiction with the above. Gun control has nothing at all to do with who does or does not deserve shooting.
Eh? The Pharisees are the elder brother in the story of the prodigal son, or the toilers who have been working since dawn in the parable of the vinyard; the point is not that they don't deserve the Kingdom but that latecomers deserve it no less.
